Let's just ignore all the shit about shipping and messed up relationships and what not, and acknowledge that Cosmo's tractor song was the moment where Daran Norris realized he was dead inside.

I think that Lights Out is worst episode, as Timmy loses at the end. I do not like shows/episodes, where main characters lose at end.
>>
>>83545486
I agree, and it's not fair for the main characters to have hard times, bad things happens to them, and lose.

No question about it as well. Missy aside, that Tractor song is the worst thing I heard on the show ever and made Lights Out look tolerable in comparison. There are so many things they could've done in the episode to make it good but instead, they gave us something that's even worse than we fans could imagine. This episode is the epitome of how far the show has fallen from what it used to be like adding an unnecessary character (could've used Trixie or Tootie instead of Missy), Flanderization, horrendous gag (tractor song makes me want to vomit), and to top it all off, terrible storywriting. Crap, even /co/ could write a better episode than that.

I think the top worst is the recent Let Sleeper Dogs Lie. But before that I used to consider Crocker of Gold and Crock Talk as the worst.

Here's a challenge for ya: name the worst episode (besides Mr. Enter's choices) prior Poof.
>>
Geez, what's with all the Finding Emo hate? That was one of teh best episodes in the season. Cosmo's tractor song was great.
>>
>>83545806
Timmy deserved it. He was being a faggot and only wished he was never born to see how sad everyone is to boost his ego. The jokes on him since everyone was better off without him.

I think that Lights Out is not the worst, because Cosmo and Wanda did so because TIimmy had frightened Poof, for me the worst episodes are a bit of all the episodes of Season 8 and 9 (Not Sparky, i'm sorry)

then, I have too many episodes for to pick just one, but nonetheless, Finding Emo is one of the worst episodes (ruin the future of Channel Chasers and the live-action movie)

Time to save this thread. What was best FOP episode?
>>
Not necessarily. Who's to say that Timmy will end up with Missy for good, if at all? All they did was go to the movies. He could still very much end up with someone else.

Anyway, I have another episode to add to this list: Country Clubbed. If not for Remy's supposed straight-up amnesia, it could have been one of my favorites.
>>
>>83546196
That doesn't answer my question.
>>
Most of the Season 9 episodes are bad, but the top 5 worst ones, in my opinion, would have to be:

1.) Finding Emo: Self-explanatory.

2.) Let Sleeper Dogs Lie: Continuity problems.

3.) Scary GodCouple: Excellent opportunity to add Tootie and Anti-Cosmo missed.

4.) The Wand That Got Away: Mr. Crocker overdose.

5.) Viral Vidiots: Lazy Crocker writing.

Honestly, Season 9 would have to be the worst ever. I only truly liked four of them (Dinklescouts; Cat-Astrophe; Jerk of All Trades; The Past and the Furious).
>>
>>83546166

Mr. Enter is a twenty-something Internet cartoon critic with a literal case of Asperger's and a hatred of any kid's show episode that ends on a cruel note. If you've ever wondered where the "mean-spirited" meme came from, that's where. He also has a slight ego, a sense of entitlement, and an annoying voice, making him snark bait on /co/.

He also wants to conceptualize a cartoon based on a Disney Shorts short about kids and adults changing roles, which doesn't help the snark.
>>
The worst episode to me is Fairly Odd Baby, an episode. I never ever want to see again due to the male fairy pregnancy. I know it's just a cartoon and it wasn't real, but it still bothers me.
>>
>>83546433
>2.) Let Sleeper Dogs Lie: Continuity problems
All the series since Poof's introduction has continuity problems (and even before this).

And those who don't like "Finding Emo" is for that stupid shipping wars. Seriously. I did like this episode.
>>
>>83546666
I know who he is and what he does!

Once again, this doesn't answer my question!
>>
I don't get the whole annoyance on Cosmo being pregnant. I see a lot of people making a big deal of it on Tumblr too. I mean, it was just meant to be a joke. They could have turned that into something much more gross, like giving details on how male fairies give birth, but they didn't, making Poof be born by a wish. By what we know, male faries may don't even have the same "parts" male humans do.

I respect your opinion, but with the writers throwing continuity into trash, making characters act like jerks, and dropping fan-favorite characters, there are a lot of better reasons for disliking an episode than a silly attempt of joke that was Cosmo getting pregnant.

I figured I'd start at square one, but read those linked posts again. "Poor Timmy". "Timmy loses at the end". "It's not fair for the main characters to have hard times".

The meme revolves around an aversion for "mean-spirited" humor, where the MC doesn't win, or learn a lesson, or anything positive. Disliking negativity makes you Mr. Enter, according to the meme.
>>
>>83546319
Oh I had totally forgot about Country Clubbed. Thank you for reminding me, this has to be one of the worst - if not THE worst - episodes to date.

To start with, they put Remy on this but they make absolutely no references to his previous appearances. It's like he's a totally new character. The premise of the episode is actually a good one, but they totally ruin it. When the Buxaplenty's limo runs over Mom and Dad, they invite the Turners to a weekend in their Country Club to avoid a lawsuit. However, Mr. and Mrs. Turner are not polite at all, making Timmy embarrassed. The story could work if it sticked to that.

However, in the middle of the storyline Cosmo starts feuding with a gopher for no reason at all and so he blows up things - because that's what kids like, right Hartman?. By the end of the episode - without spoiling too much - Timmy finds out that the Buxaplentys are mean and that he shouldn't have tried to change his parents. Could be a sweet redemption story, but they just ruin everything.
>>
>>83545806
Wasn't that episode just meant to be a dark parody of the movie 'Its a wonderful life's

I mean that doesn't me you personally have to Like the episode I but never thought in that episode it was just meant to shit on Timmy most of the crap Jorge brought up was full of holes and Timmy point them out thorough out the episode.

I watched Dimmsdale Tales and it really fucking sucked. All of the stories were super lazily written, and had no creativity put in them at all. The "Mr. Crocker and his mother" joke passed its expiration date some time ago. Another chance to have Trixie do something was passed up. Chester, AJ, and Sanjay did appear but did nothing and their place was taken by some new random.
>>
>>83547009
>Disliking negativity makes you Mr. Enter, according to the meme.

That's fucking stupid! By that logic, liking Disney should make you a nazi because Hitler drew Disney fan art.

What if a "mean-spirited" episode happens to be a bad episode? Like It's a Wishful Life for example. Yeah it was "mean-spirited", but so was Johnny Bravo's parody of It's a Wonderful Life and that episode didn't suck. Does not liking It's a Wishful Life still make me Enter?

Also why do we have to have Crocker in every episode now. He's funny in small doses, not being on screen for 5-10 minutes each episode.

It's too bad Adam West doesn't voice Catman anymore, but he is old and probably just prefers to limit his roles to Family Guy.
>>
>>83547769
Old Spongebob was funny as hell, but that is also all it had going for it.
It doesn't tug at heart strings too often or have many sympathetic characters.
Honestly, I think people overrate old Spongebob here too much just because it generated a ton of memes used mainly by black people.

In my opinion, Butch got too attached to Timmy/Cosmo/Wanda/Poof and is been neglecting secondary characters. It's not coincidence that he has stated in an interview that his favorite characters are Cosmo, Timmy's Dad and Crocker (and those final two are the only non-Timmy-and-the-fairies characters that still appear). Let's also not forget it was Butch's idea to add Sparky to the show.
>>
Butch has been left without anything to do since TUFF Puppy ended and then he came back to work full-time on FOP. Some of the long-time writers like Kevin Sullivan and Ray DeLaurentis suck as well as new writers, but at the same time Butch is still the puppetmaster pulling all their strings and of course since he likes Cosmo/Crocker/Timmy's dad, they get all the airtime.

I actually suspect that the staff likes Crocker and Timmy's dad because they're easy to animate (having quite similar clothing for one thing) while eg. Tootie is a bit more detailed and has more elements to her design like eyeglasses that the hacks animating the show now always manage to fuck up. This is also why Poof keeps disappearing.... His small size in comparison to the rest of the cast, and Timmy is already quite a midget himself, it just makes it extremely hard for animators to get the scaling right, so they opt to just cut these characters out instead. Timmy rarely leaves his house, many episodes are "bottle episodes" which take place in the same couple of settings, it just shows a complete lack of trying on behalf of the FOP staff and Hartman in particular.
>>
Desperate Without Housewives was the worst or one of the worst. It's hard to go much lower than that.
>>
>>83545698

>>
>>83550367
Kevin Sullivan works on Loud House now and is fine.
It's all Hartman.
>>
Worst FOP episodes:

FairlyOdd Baby: Yeahyeah I know it introduced Poof, but the writing was still awful anyway
Stupid Cupid: I just hated it and it was indeed a stupid episode. Not even Tom Kenny's character save the episode.
Love Triangle: One of the worst special I've ever seen. I hate episodes that have to do with plots like this.
Let Sleepet Dog Lie: Ewwww...
Desperate without Housewives: It's a waste of an episode and it is pointless. Also Miley Cyrus likes it, so what does that say.

I can't think of an episode I hate-hate. Some of the two episodes that I dislike the most include Crime Wave (due to the subject), and Desperate Without Housewives. Can't think of others at this time.
>>
>>83546196
no sheep in the big city at 11/10
this chart is shit
>>
My two least favorite episodes are:

1. It's A Wishful Life

2. Desperate Without Housewives

I hate It's A Wishful Life because what it's basically saying is "It's completely okay to be ungrateful for a favor that someone put a lot of work/time/money into" It also says that everyone would be much better off without Timmy, mostly in ways that don't even relate to him (i.e. AJ having a full head of hair).

For Desperate Without Housewives, I felt that this episode was sexist (especially to men) and unfunny. It implied that men can't do anything without women and that women constantly nag. (this is coming from a female perspective BTW)
>>
>>83545131
The one where they shit all over Timmy for doing helpful stuff and then tell him to suck it or kill himself because nobody would miss him either way.

There's so many things wrong with this list. It triggers my autism. The only way this could've been worse is if he made Courage just okay.

>>
>>83547009
>It's not fair for the main characters to have hard times
Timmy is a massive douchebag that waste reality warping powers each time something doesn't go as he pleases, and is bad that karma bites his ass? some people...
>>
Desperate Without Housewives is horrible, in fact it may be one of the worst episodes of any Nicktoon ever. I could write a graduate thesis on what's wrong with this episode. First of all, they already used this plot in Love Struck from Season 2. Second, this episode was horribly sexist to both genders, thirdly, the writers again overused Crocker et al instead of the neglected fan favorite characters we all want to see instead.
>>
Also bad:

>Lame Ducks
Name says it all.
>A Perfect Nightmare
Completely reused everything.
>Weirdos On A Train
No further explanation needed.
>Scary Godcouple
Pretty much definitive proof that no matter how hard the writers try to do something resembling Seasons 1-3 of the show, they will inevitably fail and fall back on a Crocker/Dinkelberg-centered plot or else introduce new throwaways.
>Finding Emo
Duh.
>Dimmsdale Tales
More Bad Crocker Nonsense (TM)
>Love At First Bark
In my opinion, giving Sparky a love interest is a great opening for the show. Though unfortunately, the writers once again ruined everything, and did it the most insulting, repetitive, and annoying way possible.
>>
Let Sleeper Dogs Lie is also horrendous. I mean, A Wishful Life is worse, but it sure comes close. I hate how this episode messes up the continuity of the show. Yes, messing up continuity is something the show does frequently but the episodes does it so much that there's no way to get around it. Also, how the heck does Timmy know Crocker used to have Cosmo and Wanda as fairies? I know he found out about that in The Secret Origin of Denzel Crocker but what happened in that episode is so different from what happened in this episode, I can't believe Sparky's presence is the only thing Timmy questioned. But about Crocker's personality? How it wasn't outside? The fact that Timmy's not there? Like, seriously. It's sad because I really liked how they set up the beginning. Crocker looking through old home videos and finding a video that showed him with his former fairies. I love that idea. Unfortunately, it was terribly executed.

Also, the basic premise doesn't require the writers to change the past. They could have kept the past the same? You know what would've been a much better way to insert Sparky into the past? Have Crocker find Sparky about his mind being erased and place that clip thing into him. Then have Jorgen reappear and erase his memories along with taking Sparky from him. That way, Crocker wouldn't remember the events but would still know about fairies (because of AJ's device).
>>
>>83550994
>instead of the neglected fan favorite characters we all want to see instead.
err, you do know they have Crocker a lot because kids find him funny. too bad for you that the main audience for Nicktoons is 11 year olds, not adult waifufags.

>>
>>83551338
Butch finds Crocker funny also as someone else says, he's probably easier to animate than eg. Tootie. I don't think Nickelodeon has ever conducted a survey with kid viewers to find out what their favorite FOP characters are.
>>
True...but still, if you're a 10 year old, you probably do find Cosmo and Crocker funnier than Trixie. I probably would have at that age.
>>
>>83551456
I think all the pedo waifufags have moved on to TLH now.
>>
>>83551594
The show was at its height in popularity when characters like Vicky, Tootie, or Trixie appeared more often than Crocker. This was long before /co/ existed or "waifus" were a thing.
