So? Amiga was the standard back then. There's nothing unusual about it.

I liked these.
The guy who made these's style all look like they are perpetually stuck in the 90's. The style look so 90's it's hard to grasp it doesn't even take place in it.
Just like the simpsons.

Supposedly he used an Amiga until a few years ago.

What Killed the Amiga anyway? It had better sound and graphics than any other computer or console back when it was around. I did not own one but, when I look at ports of games on it they look and sound so much better than other versions.

That came out around 2002. Holy shit that brings me back. That website had some messed up shit.

It feels like his obsession with Amigas really holds this dude back.

But I guess his obsession of Amiga got him to where he is.
>>
>>83550418

Except he literally said the opposite. He didn't have a insane attachment to the amiga
>>
>>83550418

He's not as much into Amiga nowadays as back then, he's a mac/linuxfag now.

Early Flash animation was almost always done this way (even by classically-trained animators like John K) mostly because home Internet connections were not yet capable of broadband speeds; so keeping file sizes small was a priority if you wanted your film to be widely seen. The most common format to distribute Flash films back then were as straight SWF files. Since SWFs were primarily vector-based artwork, they were tinier and quicker to download than MOVs or MP4s.

However, vector artwork also meant that SWFs were heavier on CPUs during playback, leading to choking and stuttering if the viewer's computer was not fast enough. Since the goal is to have each viewing experience be as consistent as possible, it was safer to just simplify the hell out of the animation.

If your target was film or television, you needn't have worried about any of this. Either Flash or Amiga were equally capable of the same quality of output through a seasoned artist's hand.
