I'll be honest and say I completely forgot about him. Only until Pops' Favorite Planet have I even thought about him in the past couple months.
If you give me some time I'm sure I can come up with a reasonable thing, though unlike most of the others, Pops hasn't really talked to Mordecai about his lady problems or anything.
Then again, neither has Skips, but iirc there was an episode where Skips felt lonely after he realized he's been out of the dating game for hundreds of years, if Mordecai hadn't had the focus of lady issues since the second or so episode, they probably wouldn't have thought to budge him.
That by connection if you want to see it that way, leads into Benson, he also has troubles and lives alone. I can recall a few times where Mordecai's pursuit of a girl fucked up Benson, like when his car was fucked up in Picking Up Margaret.
Still doesn't do anything for pops, but I meant "lives would be better" not them as how you like them or not.

I was ok with Mordecai breaking up with CJ because he still had feeling for Margaret. Honest feelings, coming clean, etc.
I was not ok with M&M being 'just friends' all of a sudden. What, six season of buildup just to say 'nah, it's cool'. I had liked the regular show for capturing a lot of good stuff about relationships, but it goes nowhere.Too realistic
