I'm amused because I remember years ago around Oscar time, Cartoon Brew had a banner ad of the "for your consideration" variety, and there was a cropped version of pic related for Kung Fu Panda 2. It's just kind of funny how much of a joke these things are when people know the fastest way to earn street cred is to show your characters hugging and crying.

I agree. The dynamic between Dipper and Pacifica was somehow amazing but the Mabel subplot was shit. And this is coming from someone who likes Mabifica.
