Liver, as an example, has a specific iron rich taste that definitely isn't the same taste as the meat of the animal, but I personally still like it. Okay, I've been reading a bit, and it turns out cattle are raised on pastures until they are heavy enough, then they are shipped to feedlots and THAT is where they eat feed that is grown on land that would otherwise be used for human food, like corn. Roughage like corn stalks are fed to them but that's more to help with digestion.
