I can't stand humanizations that just give the characters generic anime faces/bodies and just different clothes & hair. It happens a lot with Pokemon gijinkas, too - There are tons of interesting things you can do with the face & body that mirror the original design, but most artists put all of their brainpower into the outfit instead. It just ends up being costume design instead of character design.
