Like many heroes of the age, Iron Man has been a victim of massive Power Creep. Whereas now he can probably go the distance with Thor, as long as he doesn't have the Odinforce, in these days a fight with Iron Fist is surprisingly even.
So can Tony still do this, or did he take this ability out to make room for more defenses or something of that nature?
So despite Iron Fist's victory quote in Marvel vs. Capcom, "Man of Iron vs. Fist of Iron" is indeed a contest.

Can't say I've ever been a fan of this aspect of K'un Lun's mythology that Claremont added. The idea that the city is some intrusion into a planet in a pre-existing dimension, inhabited by plant people. I don't see how it adds much to the "quasi-Chinese folklore" vibe.

Not really what I meant. In arc with the ninja from the book, K'un Lun's separate realm status seemed to be more mystic in origin, and wasn't suggested to be on an "alien" planet. It seemed more like an artificially created pocket dimension. Claremont's additions make them kind of colonists, in a way that is kind of difficult to work with.

And as has been mentioned a few times, this is the first confirmation that Misty Knight has a bionic arm. Back in these days, she had a flesh-appearing cover for the arm.

This period of Marvel from my point a view, the growth of what it will become. The groundwork was there but this period really connected the Marvel Universe of this place where you have Merry Mutants with their insanity, a family that gets into cosmic shit, a mystic protecting us from REAL dangerous stuff, a Spygroup that tries to regulate led by WW II vet, Dr. Doom showing us his swagger, a Kung-Fu asskicker who later becomes best friends with a Ex-Con Hero for Hire and a War Vet snuffing out Crime.
