I am not dismissing it simply because of the genre.
I have listened to ska in movie sound tracks, with friends, and by myself.
I have given it a chance. And second chances.
But there is just nothing that connects to me on a personal or cultural level.
That song just now, I listened to it out of respect for the poster and curiosity.
I never saw that show as it was never on a channel in my country.
I guess my real problem with ska is the vocals.
I can enjoy the instrument work with its similarities to jazz and reggae.
