I'm noticing a lot of similarities between The Real Thomas operation and the Spark operation.
They both involve multiple "phases" and are said as such, without deviating away from the term.
Both involve lifting the park to take it somewhere.
The people behind both operations happen to be spying and testing the crew before doing their final rundown. This includes setting up cameras around the park, and hanging near them to see how they act and how smart they are to what's going on around them.
Benson is falling for yet another bad girl, this time one who "returns" the favor.
Both results end up trapping them and are varying degrees of deadly.

Both are extremely manipulative, Spark moreso. The dome can change weather and interfere with what you see. "Parklift" involved keeping secret by "silencing potential threats" and hiding the real deal right under their noses.

JG says it tops everything they've ever done, and the course of the series is changed after the event happens. Watch all the episodes you can of course, but the ones focused specifically on the story are The Dome Experiment Special, The Button, and everything after that one. There's also some past episodes from earlier seasons connected but it's not clear yet what all of those are.
This show has amazing continuity, when they decide to do it.
