well you should know better than to think a disney made show is created for any other purpose than to sell merchandise. Nobody buys DVDs or Blurays anymore. It's all about toys and posters and pencil cases and shit. The show is just to define the IP, and the IP is all about the license and how it can be sold in a million ways. License the show out to different regions, different languages, varying markets, tie ins, merchandise. Then in a few years you get to reboot the show and cash in on the nostalgia factor but you hire a different cast because the originals are too famous or you need to change everything slightly to make a NEW set of toys merch etc;

It is a sad, depressing chain, but at least we got WoY. I mean don't cry that it's over, smile because it happened.

Everyone was at the announcement, it was like a hit to the heart, even to the more "mature" people here, not the ones who seem like kids, but genuinely come here to talk about the show and that's it, no waifu baiting or anything.
Somewhat recently was when the sadness sorta converted to that "well, can't stop it, let's just get it over with" mindset, but then the rest of the series descriptions got shown and everyone got sad again, or at most worried about things to come.

I feel it would look better if there were variations on screen. That one scene wasn't much of an issue even if it was seen for like, 2 minutes, there wasn't that much repeating parts. Other time in the show, there are.

Animatics are really just storyboards synced to some audio.
I usedGimpfor my art andWindows Live Movie Makerto piece it together. Not professional in any way but it gets the job done. And unlike a lot of people who use those two programs, I'm not working on any furry shit.So in my case I'd draw the storyboards in the Gimp application and then sync them right in WLMM

I sorta copied what I saw on TV, learned smears and the like. I think I was the first around where I lived to have TVs that could pause when those came in. It was nice.
I know a few terms for the animation stuff for camera angles and stuff (such as those background shots that bend towards the screen in the center and back out on both ends is usually called a "bannana shot") but looking it up specifically might help, animation terms, stuff like that. Never really informed myself on the terms since I just did what I knew the animation called for.

I'd say there's probably a really good way to look up storyboarding notes and tips, but I can't think of how to word it, maybe just like that? I've never needed to storyboard, I always just go with what I'm doing since I work alone (not even any voices in my current animations) but I've seen enough to know color keys and stuff like that are important directional information. Like basics, zooming in has a box around where you want the camera to focus/stop zooming in, action notes under the drawing panel where you write what happens, dialog, and drawing parts of the body that move before the next frame or what-not. It's actually a lot more complicated then just doing it, because knowing what you're wanting to do and then explaining it keeps you using up time.
If you're wanting to get into the animation business, are you wanting to be a storyboard artist, or an animator? Or some other position? If you're an animator, there's not too much of a call for storyboarding unless you're making your first pilot or working on a storyboard driven kinda show (which seems common, but even then you might not need to deal with storyboard making yourself) but I'm not official, I've never been in the actual business.
I'd say just look it all up man, word things like "Storyboard Directional angles" or something smart sounding like that, might find something I don't know (I'd bet you would)
My skill is animation, it's so easy to me that unless it's some advanced CGI stuff, I don't get how people find it hard (Alright, 2D turning can be a little horrible) but story boarding comes with it's own trials. You're on a time limit to map them out to where someone can tell what it is without having to ask you "what that word says" or "who's that guy in the corner" if you drew someone in the background.

Also worth noting is animation business varies completely from place to place, I've actually had some friends who got into doing some stuff at Nickelodeon, lost contact after a short time but they told me it was different from what they learned. It's been so long I forgot their damn positions they went for. Though it's common knowledge there's strands of the same thing but usually changed to fit the network's ideals (like Disney usually wants something kid friendly, while Nickelodeon would want it even more so, then CN would want whatever you've got as long as you don't go over the top)
So my bet is find out where you'd want to even begin to try to get to, then learn their methods somehow.

There was a good part of that episode though, the "You Might Think" song being used, that was cool. Love when they do that. Last night's episode had a real song for the first time in for what feels like ages.
It did go to dating shit, but there's so much stuff aside from that it's not the biggest part of the show, and a good amount of the dating episodes are more "adventurous" like the ones that aren't about dating, rather than "i fucked up, rigby, margaret touched my penis and i didn't know what to say, i can't talk to her anymore my life is over"
Season 6 is fine, but it's finale, while incredibly bad, was done for a reason. It had to get the point through to Mordecai in a big way, via Rigby's sympathy, he needs to stop focusing on dating all the time.
