This. Early Scoob had great art and atmosphere, largely good voice talent, and largely terrible writing. Modern Scoob is usually a lot more tight narratively, but the art and atmosphere vary wildly, and the voice acting is usually just okay. There are a lot of highs and lows all over the franchise, from iteration to iteration and also from episode to episode within those iterations.

I've seen a ton of Scooby media. I've seen the original, the ones with Scrappy, the "New Scooby Movies" with all the guest stars, "Ghoul School", "A Pup Named", Zombie Island, Cyber Chase, the live action movie "What's New", and "Mystery Inc."

I actually read the comics for them as a kid so Teen Titans was one of the earliest moments of "not muh" I ever experienced. I absolutely hated how they turned one of my favorite comics into a mediocre anime. I love how fans of the show are now incredibly butthurt over Teen Titans Go.

My problem with Scooby Doo was the same problem with other "classic" Hanna Barbara shows. The animation was shit and the plot was extremely formulaic. It was extremely annoying as a kid to see them run away from the "monster" when it was always, ALWAYS a guy in a costume or illusion. Alien Force and Ultimate Alien were complete trash. The animation and alien designs alone were mechanically weaker from an artist's standpoint.
The shit cartoon I disliked and hated was the zoo troop UK cartoons. They played them in the gift shops of haven holiday camps. There's also this one haven soggy which is original and is stuck in my head but I can't remember it's name.

I enjoyed KND as a kidthough I didn't watch a large amount because my mom would always complain about the screaming, but even then I had a feeling of disappointment with the show. It had a lot of interesting ideas that were in the background or touched on for an episode, but it never really went into them.
It's worth noting that "kid society" is probably my favorite cartoon gimmick, so having KND go in-depth with internal and external political plots would likely satisfy me and only me.

Hated the movie because it seemed like a bunch of random incomplete episodes of a tv show. Which it was.
Hated the tv show because the episodes aired out of order and I never knew what was going on. Apparently it was way out of order. A season 2 episode was the series premiere and it got worse from there.I haven't re-watched the show in a while but I'm told it's good in order.
