I'm not sure about this, but I'm wondering if that whole sequence is just one of Ulysses's visions.
Issue 0 ended with a devastated city which turned out to just be Ulysses's vision of the future if all the heroes hadn't stopped that giant monster thing at the start of Issue 1. But they did, so that future never came to pass.
That whole sequence came after pic-related, so I'm not sure if it's supposed to be a hint that it's only a possible future.
My theory is admittedly flawed for 2 reasons. 1st, it's wishful thinking. 2nd, as was said above, it's more likely they're killing Jen Walters off to make a new She-Hulk with a different ethnicity.

I know we are all getting tired of these reboot events but marvel keeps making it worse and worse everytime. They need to take a note from DC and go back to their roots and stop pushing agendas.
There is literally no reason that Carol couldn't have told everyone else "Look, we used the future vision guy. I know we argued about it, and we can argue about it some more later but right now we know Thanos is looking for the cosmic cube so give us a hand" and boom, you've probably avoided both deaths in this scenario

What I don't get about this whole conflict is Carol's decision to bring a bunch of low tier heroes to fight Thanos. Shouldn't you have dialed up the number of one or more of your strongest heroes and get them to fight him instead of putting lives in danger?

Has anyone else noticed the fact that in the first Civil War, both the original Hulk and Thor were taken out of the equation because it was likely that both were overpowered and whichever side had either would be unstoppable? But NOW, we have Tony's team which has a weaker version of both as Whor and Totally Gook Hulk, yet I don't believe it even makes a fucking difference this time around.
On the one hand, I like Tony's team because of muh Daredevil, but I also like Carol's team because of AntMan.
Of course I could care less about She Hulk and Rhodey dying. It's only funny because a black guy and a woman had to die so that two white people could fight over Minority Report futurism bullshit. Damn I love being white.
