This is the most viewed cartoon on youtube. It has 1.3 billion views.
ONE POINT THREE BILLION.
And according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_most_viewed_YouTube_videos it's the 14th most watched video on all of youtube.
Like, what the fuck, has anyone even heard of this? I'd say it's just bots, but you'd think if that were the case every video ever would be in the billions. And supposedly youtube's good about preventing fake views from showing up in the counter.
Is it because the little girl feeds a bunch of animals until their stomachs expand? Is the furry-inflation demographic that large?
Someone help me make sense of this, this shit is baffling.
>>83401202
My younger cousin watches it on repeat
My autistic brother loves this show.
>>83401202
Lolidom gives the wolf an enema. Also probably it appeals to chinese/indians.
>>83401202
there are a lot of russians
i think it's on netflix too
>>83401426
This came out in 2012. Google says in 2013, there were 143.5 million russians. If every russian on earth watched this video, they'd all have to watch it about 900 times to make up 1.3 billion views.
people nowadays don't even have cable tv
they just activate youtube on their TVs and enter "cartoons" or "мyльтики" in russian and they get a channel or playlist full of this stuff
then they just keep it on for the entirety of the day
child doesn't even pay attention most of the time, it's just there as a background
>>83401202
For something with 1.3 billion views there is a serious lack of porn.
>>83401809
huh thres a lot less russians than i thought
>>83401809
In case you didn't know, 1 billion is 1000 millions.
?
They show this shit on most popular channel in Russia during prime time. Shit sucks. Terrible fucking CGI animation and retarded slapstick humor. Also, it gets really heavy promoted by everything in Russia, like it's best national cartoon ever. I can barely named at least three good post-soviet cartoons and this shit not even close. But on youtube most of them bots for sure. Government has some kinda putenjugend organizations which constantly doing stupid shit like this on the internets.
>>83401202
Like most kids' cartoons, it's cheaply made shit. In my country it's on repeat on cartoon channels, so you just put your toddler in front of the TV and he'll stay zombified while you do your chores.
>>83403639
Russians are just a bit fucked in the head
>>83401809
143.5 mil x 900 does not equal 1.3 billion.
They'd each need to watch it about 10 times.
>>83401202
>Successfull Russian cartoon
>It is about bears and forests
Got the lesson America? Next cartoon you make must be about cowboys and burgers
>>83403639
Soviet era cartoons were pretty nice, is a bit muddled in delivery https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=S3ezma9cLEs
No Nu Zayetz pagadi? You disappoint me.
>>83406017
I'm Russian and i offended by your post.
>>83406218
Cowboys and shotas
From what I understand it's a great nanny show. Like you put your two year old in front of the screen, play this, and you can have ten minutes of peace while knowing the little bastard won't bugger off anywhere and get electrocuted or something.
>>83407250
she'll just give the dog an enema
My 4yo sister watches this shit and play-doh videos all day long, so i'm not surprised.
I like it, it's cute though i didn't expect it to be this popular like i've never heard anyone talk about it.
>>83401202
Nah, it's just a popular Russian cartoon. I guess it's pretty popular in post-soviet countries and Asia.
>>83402043
>huh thres a lot less russians than i thought
140 millions citizens of Russia
that's counting all the ethnical minorities, like tatars and lolJedis
>>83403639
>I can barely named at least three good post-soviet cartoons
Gogoriki/smeshariki ARE very good and are exactly like soviet cartoons of old with their "no violence/ no villain" plots
The whole of Eastern Europe watches it, along with Russia and very likely all the fuckhuge countries like India and Pakistan.
It's even popular here in Croatia and having talked to moms their kids love it. There's also merch up the ass everywhere.
>>83401202
you underestimate the Russians, Maшa и Meдвeдь are huge
>>83409313
>The whole of Eastern Europe watches it
I could never imagine I would be triggered by a generalization but nah, man, it's not the whole of Eastern Europe
>>83401202
myMomwatches it and she loves itShe's also clinically depressed but she's having fun.
>>83403639
I know it was coming out during Soviet times but Hy, Пoгoди! is dope, one of the few slapsticks I enjoy alongside old Tom and Jerry
>>83401202
They put that cartoon too here in Spain
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnmDW4NW_mk
>>83409313
It's hilariously popular in Serbia too.
>>83401202
It's just a cute show that's popular among small children here.
My little brother, a 2-year old toddler, LOVES this cartoon.
I don't like it at all, but he does, so I just put him some episodes sometimes. I'm pretty sure other people do that, too. It's a harmless, fun show for toddlers and small children.
My wife let's my daughter have her tablet all day and this is one of the videos she watches. I want to punch my wife in the face for that.
>>83401202
This is like the Russian Angry Birds. This shit gets marketed super hard and is on every merchandise imaginable. The views could be coming from repeat viewing as some parents just put this shit on loop for their kids 24/7.
If you want a quality Soviet cartoon about Masha with lots of panty shots and good slapstick, watch this. It doesn't have subtitles, but the majority of the dialogue was put in there post-production and isn't crucial. That's why the dislikes: kids can't deal with dubbing sync issues:

>>83402043
The EU has 500 million and the US 300+ million. Yet Russia tries to intimidate the both of us with RUSSIA STRONK. It's pathetic, when you think of it.
>>83409704
Not surprising. I caught a few eps and I don't know why everyone's so butthurt. It's a show for little kids, that is all. Nothing to bitch about.
>>83409753
>harmless
Now, many moms would argue about that because hurr Masha acts like a little spoiled brat and therefore children who watch this cartoon will copy her behavior.
there is waaaaaay worse shit things for kids, I mean this isn´t half good to deserve so much atention, but compared to those sub par latin american stuff this is gold, I mean, just look at this
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFdHVeOP77k
my nephew loved that shit train and it was driving me crazy
>>83401202
Have you watched it OP? It's actually pretty funny. Check out the Father Christmas episode or the one about Masha making porrage.
>>83403639
Ugh, fucking Stalists.
>>83410053
Russia has enough nukes to turn human civilization into an afterthought. They can be plenty intimidating.
This thread if giving me a really fucking unnerving case of deja vu
by that i mean everything about it's been posted before
even how the replies are unfolding
what the fuck
>>83410123
Masha gets her clothes off a lot in the laundry one.
>>83410729
Oh shit.
I had the exact same thing two days ago regarding a /pol/ thread about trees (roll with it), and I could swear we had the same thread with the same replies a year prior. Upon saying this other Anons came forth and said that yes, they too remember both the thread and the replies but were reluctant to post and say that because it was too weird. They assumed that they were batshit or just mistaken.
why didn't the bear mauled the ultra-annoying lil' shite girl? was he a cuck?
> It's a "/co/ is shocked about cartoons being watched by kids" episode
You have to keep up with the new technologies 90s kids. The future didn't peak in 2010 anon
>>83411042
same thing, not even one of those moments you have the deja vu after you see something, but I remember reading a reply and thought about how they are going to reply to him or ask him something and when I checkd its replies they were exactly as i thought, even the reaction pic.
Im not freaking out as /x/ tho, 4chan probably has bots
>>83409960
What the hell, this looks adorable.
>>83410729
On the other hand, I do recall a Masha thread from some time ago - with a similar OP thesis regarding bots. Owning to the nature of the animation (RU), it catches the eye of the Slavic portion of the board, myself included. I'm pretty sure I posted a similar reply in that one as well.
But in any case then we must conclude that an actual Russian or otherwise paid individual (a shill of sorts) is making these threads. It might be the Russians prodding the international opinion of their media on this still somewhat raw and shameless circle, meaning they're looking for honest and unfiltered opinions.
Furthermore, I remember the same thread on the other /co/. Same thesis, same topic. A fan would just make a Masha thread without the bot accusation thing. Thus I conclude that yes indeed, this is an information gathering thread by a paid employee or employees.
Sooo... are you guys hiring? Contact me in the usual way.
Wait, /co/ don't like this cartoon?
I think it's okay. A good way to introduce slpastick humor to kids.
>>83411194
Old Soviet cartoons are full of cute little girls. Protip: Masha is a catch-all, standard name, like say Fido for dogs. There's many cartoons with many Masha's.
>>83411191
>bots
No. We're well past that. The truth is both weirder and simpler. The Net is riddled with spontaneously emerged AI's that came about through the ever increasing complexity of the Net, in a similar manner through which physical life emerged on our planet. So far I've not seen them act in an antagonistic manner. They're "little kids" or "homo erectus" in AI terms.
Also, there's psyops, shills and alphabet agencies everywhere. Trust me, I know. Peace was never an option.
And then there's the true horror of CERN, changing Bibles and the ritual performed in Switzerland just a day or two ago. We have footage. Google it.
Truth and fiction? There is no difference. Reality is fiction. And they are trying to rewrite it and spit in the face of the Author.
And yes /x/ is shit.
>>83411359
>And then there's the true horror of CERN, changing Bibles and the ritual performed in Switzerland just a day or two ago. We have footage. Google it.
please tell more...
>>83411259
It's not that we don't like it, it's just that it's for little kids and we don't have much to discuss because of that. Masha and the Bear fall in that category of cartoons.
I'm not antagonistic towards it in any way.

CERN's opening ceremony was even more disturbing.
I do not wish to elaborate on these topics in the present time. However, if you are in the EU be afraid. The legistrature for concentration camps has passed.

This is the channel of SoyuzMultfil it basically has everything from Soviet animation worth watching:
https://www.youtube.com/user/ClassicCartoonsMedia/videos
Unfortunately not subbed though. Here's another classic cartoon with a cute Soviet loli:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ycZhxdozG8o
But there are tons of them, for most you really need to know Russian to enjoy unfortunately. I guess that's why there is NO rule 34 of 99% of them and just 2-3 pieces on average for the few that do have something.
>>83411627
Maybe, but we can all agree Masha and the Bear sucks hairy bear balls compared to what Soyuz Multfilm used to make. Both in story and visually.

Not unless someone gets of his ass and subs it. The stories are pretty simple though, the one with her acting crazy goes like this: Masha is being a lazy brat. Her grandma asks her to go to the bakery, and Masha responds with "I would be glad to, but my feet don't feel like walking there". Grandma tries to compromise by going to the bakery herself, but telling Masha to wash the dishes, at which point Masha says that her hands don't feel like it. When her grandma, who we can presume is a witch later on (not canon) if Masha isn't the mistress of her arms and legs that she can't tell them what to do, Masha replies with "no". And after grandma leaves, weird shit starts to happen: she tries to eat jam, but her feet walk her the other way and feed her mustard and horseradish, they make her jump around, paint the dog, juggle, and carry her off into the woods. She finally has enough and tells her feet and arms that she wants to be the mistress of them again. At which point she sees the lights and assumes it's a wolf, so she asks her limbs to climb a tree, but it turns out to be a search party (we can assume again that her non canon witch of a grandma has a homing spell on her to effectively find her in the night woods).
>>83414916
Damn, missed a word there: her grandma ASKS her if she's not the mistress of her limbs and then after Masha answers "no", the cuckoo clock tells her she fucked up and the weird shit starts. So I'm guessing it was the catch of the curse: you have to verbally surrender control of your limbs.
>>83401202
My dad and my niece watched all the 2d episodes, and then the 3d ones.
Now that she is three she ocationally watches on her own.
Saw some episodes, the slapstick is solid.
My dad actually liked it because he felt the relationship between Masha and the bear was actually a lot like his relationship with my niece (she's a lil' devil).
>>83414916
>>83415093
thank you anon.
And here we have a phallic object telling a blond loli how she can collect a a pitcher full of something sweet if she simply blows in his "magic" flute.
