Oh armageddon 2001.
>>83386262
That infamous event that wanted to shit on one character but thanks to leaks it ended up shitting on another character.
>>83386359
We are so not reading that, only the original event plus the Flash annual. I guess technically we should read the JLE annual that leads into the final issue but ehhhh
>>83386465
No problem
this is so cool Fastest Anon Alive, i also started reading all of vol 2, im into the final numbers of geoff johns run and i feel the writers had a great succession folloiwng each other.
This run sets up Wallys taking up the mantle, Waids run develops Wally finding his identity and making his relationships with the Flash family, Linda, etc. and Johns run develops the villains, all of this really compliments each run very well.
Also F for Mirror Master Mcculloch my favorite character from the rogues gallery.
>>83386915
Wally had one of the best runs in comics for sure.
>>83386997
i recently bought the Flash vol 2 #212, the issue where johns focuses on mirror master mcculloch.
"i aint ever leavin wonderland"

McCulloch is great, I hope they get rid of Scudder soon so they can bring him back.

>DISCS: RARE AND USED
I appreciate the forward thinking that discs wouldn't last forever but the idea of an entire store for old ones is pretty silly.
Is this the one where Monarch is an actual threat?
>>83387720
Sort of?
I mean, most of the event is just "who is Monarch?" plus a bunch of alternate futures. The big bad himself doesn't do much.
Waverider's whole visual motif is pretty cool, I will admit as much.
Will Flash be the Monarch?!?!?!?!?!?
>>83386304
what character was going to get shat on?
So yeah, this is one of the first instances of an artist forgetting Wally's new costume doesn't have exposed eyes.
>>83388652
Captain Atom.
That's it for today, more tomorrow
>>83386103
TIME TO RUIN SOME CAPTAIN ATOM.
Still catching up on Part 10- Man, that Wally vs. Savage showdown in #50 was pretty goddamn badass, wasn't it?
The Proletariat issue is something I've owned for years, and always really enjoyed, because suicidally depressed Soviet Captain America trying to complete the mission of destroying the Imperialist West is a good hook.
speed bump
>>83392830
Thank you
>>83387190
That is a DANGEROUS level of Kirby Crackle.
>>83387232
Looks suspiciously like an eye.
>>83388298
Yeah, Waverider's got a good look and even the whole "time traveler trying to prevent a future dystopia" is a solid SF standby.
That Armageddon 2001 is pretty meh is the biggest thing working against him.
>>83388581
I feel like Dexter Miles should have been arsed to bring some shit over the river from Central City for something like this.
What's the point of running a Flash museum and not piggybacking on the new Flash?
>>83390372
That was a dull flop of a debut for Mark Waid on the Flash.
It wasn't exactly bad so much as mostly just a bit dull and predictable.

Y'know what, fuck it. Monarch was the best thing to ever happen to that timeline. What a goddamn shit hole.
>>83391497
Hello scene that was not rewritten to remove Hawknarch.
>>83391873
And a monologue for Hawk Monarch they didn't bother rewriting either.
I keep forgetting how many dumb, forgettable events there were before the 00s.
Armageddon out of here.
