Ultimate Marvel Interlude: Supreme Power Storytime
>What's being storytimed?
The Squadron Supreme is a fictional superhero team that appears in publications under the mature-audience MAX imprint by Marvel Comics. The team first appears in Supreme Power #1 (Jan. 2003) and was created by writer J. Michael Straczynski and artist Gary Frank. The series Supreme Power features the rebooted version of the superhero team Squadron Supreme and is set on Earth-31916
>Why are you doing this?
Because I thought it would be fun to pause Ultimates before Ultimate Power to see what was going on on the other side of the crossover.
>Why this order?
Unlike Ultimate Marvel I'm able to start at the beginning here and do it in the correct order.
>Where can I catch up?

HOLY SHIT WHAT THE FUCK: The Miniseries
>>83319174
You wouldn't happen to have links to a place I can download these, especially the Nighthawk mini? This is my favorite Batman/Joker story that doesn't involve either character.

Wait, so the clown has fckall to do with anything?
Wow. Talk about bad timing.
>>83319562
This is what I used.

How else is Binst supposed to get the clown motif?
>>83319476
It's too late Nighthawk, Binst has already been raped.

>>83319755
Nope, he's just here to be Gordon

Kek What the fuck is this series
>>83320046
What the fuck is going on? I know Ultimates was edgy, but what the fuck.

>>83320249
Nope, just here to be the Doctor Thompkins,
>>83320292
Lemme guess, those two dead cops also happened off screen?
>>83319476
Dude, at first I thought the big round eyes silly, but really, they're fucking creepy as hell. Just constantly staring...
>>83320427
Ow. The edge.this is really good though
>>83319751
I guess I'm missing something. Using the make=up to do a frowny style to go along with his scars seems like where this was going... I guess not?
All these Franks are wearing me the fuck out. Goddamn Dillon.
>>83320559
This was the page that won me over, BTW.

Is there baby feet in the bowl?

So now this dude has invented a poison that will make you commit suicide?
But it didn't work on Deputy Mayor guy?
>>83320576
Mine was the kids inhaling the balloons the first time I read it. It's crazy that this is the same guy that wrote one of the worst Deadpool runs.
>>83320734
>So now this dude has invented a poison that will make you commit suicide?
What? No, he killed himself because he was too depressed to live.
>>83320949
thanks
Bump...thanks, Mate.
I'm sorry Ulti-mate even I can't stand this series I'll be back when you switch back to regular edgy Ultimates 3 and the incest twins
>>83321179
Thanks
>>83321191
Cya then!
>>83320735
Which run was that?
I guess it makes sense, since Deadpool is supposed to be funny and this is heartwrenching.
>>83320772
I didn't notice it the first time I read it, but there's shit in the Mayor's highball glass, and Stratt makes a funny face when he tastes it. And then Nighthawk comes across another guy who blew his brains out and says "Seems to be going around."
>>83321269
are you fucking kidding me
>>83321275
>Which run was that?
This Nighthawk mini is writter by Daniel Way
>>83321275
>there's shit in the Mayor's highball glass
That's just alcohol
>Stratt makes a funny face when he tastes it
He's reacting to what the mayor is saying
>another guy who blew his brains out
The supplier who either a)realized he was going to die a painful death and took the easy way out or b) realized he was supplying the poison and killed himself out of guilt.
That's just my take anyway
>>83321205
So what did he do for her?
WOW. I just-wow
I don't know if it's a good thing or not that the new Nighthawk isn't gonna be like this.
Wiki agrees with me
>The grief-stricken mayor commits suicide during a press conference, but not before calling on Nighthawk to kill Whiteface
>>83321449
Saved her life off panel. The thing about this mini is that it acts as if this is just another story in a long series as opposed to just a miniseries spin-off of a main title
>>83321442
No, I mean the Deadpool run.
>>83321472
Given that there already seems to be 616 Dr. Whiteface killing people, it just well might be.
>>83321509
>Saved her life off panel. The thing about this mini is that it acts as if this is just another story in a long series as opposed to just a miniseries spin-off of a main title
The first time I read it, I assumed everything I didn't know was told in previous stories. It's both cool and confusing they did it like that.
>>83321464
Shouldn't Stratt be mayor now, and the one making the decisions, like to declare the case closed?
>>83321538
>No, I mean the Deadpool run.
Daniel Way's run is referred to as "memepool" Deadpool vol. 2)#1-63
>Given that there already seems to be 616 Dr. Whiteface killing people, it just well might be.
There is?
>>83321688
Goddamn.
Thanks for this. I'm really enjoying this, haven't seen any of this before.
>>83321633
>There is?
Shit, now that I think of it, they're calling that guy "The Revelator", right?
Well, if it sells well enough to keep going, I'm sure we'll see him eventually.
>>83321746
You're welcome, anon
>>83321816
Damn ,I kind of want to check of the new Squadron books, but NuMarvel scares me.
Huh. I was expecting mroe of a look into Nighthawk's psyche rather than a Joker story.
>>83321897
This didn't really need to be labelled "epilogue".
>>83321875
Squadron Supreme is ok, the most recent issues with Nighthawk vs Nighthawk are really good.
Hyperion seems to be written like a DC comic, and I don't like DC much, so it's not my thing.
Nighthawk (judging by a single issue) has the character down, has Doc Nightshade as support, and is about radical black activism without being SJW. But it's also pretty joyless and stiff. The Revelator has the makings of a good villain.
Give it a look, there should be a link in the Win-O.
>NuMarvel
Doesn't seem much different from old Marvel. They didn't reboot the universe like DC did.
>>83321875
It's not that bad. Vision and Deadpool (plus Deadpool's minis) are pretty great. Ultimates is interesting. Starbrand and Nightmask was pretty good, touched upon the whole "universe ending too soon" (which is being explored in Ultimates) and gave Eternity some new kids (e.g., Entropy); sadly it was canceled.
>>83321976
I refer to anything done after Marvel Now as NuMarvel. Alonso is awful, but I might check out the first issues of the Squadron books. Chuck Wendig has me weary, Star Wars: Aftermath was complete shit.
>>83322104
I am reading Vision, Tom King has earned my trust.
>>83322090
>drrr
>drrr
Uh-uh. Not today.
Having first been exposed to Hyperion through Exiles, I always find good versions of him really weird.
