I can't think of any European comics that caught on in the US. Even stuff like Tin Tin isn't remotely popular here.
In some alternate universe European comics caught on in the US and we got translations of some lovely Euro comics instead of this shit

I traveled abroad a lot as a kid and had friends who spent quite a bit of time in Europe, and I don't remember anyone reading or talking about Tin Tin.
