I can't think of any heavy censorship from Nick or Disney in the UK. I could be wrong, but I think it's just CN that does it to this extent.
I wish they'd use guns a tad bit more often. They have lasers and made up weapons so often it feels like they have to work around it now.
Lasers can be cool, but that's what it feels like, cool, it doesn't feel like there's a sense of danger when you hear a pew and a little red light pops on someone.
Though the bean bag machine gun was nice in Benson's Pig, I actually laughed at that and like it, though it's hard to tell if it was a joke, a work around for not being allowed to put in a machine gun with bullets, or if they weren't allowed to and made it a joke, considering it's called "Non-lethal beanbag shooter" or what-not.
Wasn't The Real Thomas the last to use a gun? Probably after the UK edit they told them not to do it anymore, but I'm sure the beanbag scene in Benson's Pig will be edited out too if it hasn't already.

For anyone wondering about why Rigby and Mordecai didn't die in the movie when they touched the plutonium, there's a deleted scene that involves the "you'll die!" bit with different wording. They originally mention Mordecai's suit is shredded and Rigby's not having one all together, and they did a decontamination thing on the ship going home.

one of the best parts of half hour specials is the neat little varation on the opening
it's a shame Dome Special didn't have one, then again, I think they meant for it to be a regular episode just double length, to fit in the beginning dome story, like a phase 1 episode. I fucking feel this. This show's strength was that at it's core besides the weirdness of the designs and settings, the characters acted more like people than any cartoon on at the time. I mean, I'm the frog/rocko poster, I'm just kinda shitposting at this point, it looks like it can be cool, but I liked the simple pops who was somewhat retarded but like a grown baby and was kind, elegant, and other words like that. I don't know what this is, but maybe it's a rare occurrence, could be his home planet Lolliland, that is his core story, they haven't elaborated on it and this might just be it.
He pays with money, his character bio says he is from lolliland, and he was from Lolliland in the student film JG made, I'm hoping this is just his backstory connections to his home sorta thing, since it's always been there, they just never talked about it.
I liked The Real Thomas, though it did feel odd, but I do believe this should be a pops' charater story and not some random add-on thing.

Don't understand why some are upset or wary of this though. The show treated its interpersonal relationships more seriously than any other aspect, including stuff like time (that one kid Mordecai and Rigby apparently have been throwing birthday parties for for several years).
One thing that stuck out to me is how for Thanksgiving all their parents had to fly in and be picked up at the airport even though they must have always been living in the same town. Rigby's dad also looked more like Flanders than the insane jerk he is now. They most likely had not decided on a character for him yet.

Rigby is back in highschool to better himself (for himself and Eileen) and is about to graduate / may have already graduated without an episode on it.
Movie (if you haven't seen it) has some decent story connected to a show plot going on now, it takes place between the start of Season 6 and the end of 7 (current season)
Maellard (Pops' dad, the old man / Park owner) and Gene have suddenly been seen as a conspiracy duo doing something with The Park, including Dome tests and studying everyone for some huge experiment in the half hour finale of the season that changes to course of the series.
That's about it, you should pick up where you left off, it gets better.

I like to take the show one episode at a time, so as far as I care this is just one of those times where they introduce the magical element at the beginning instead of having it come out of left field halfway through the episode. It does reinforce what we already knew about Pops' terrible relationship with his dad so it'll be cool to see them shed some more light on that, and I'm very curious to find out if Maellard is aware of what was going on with Pops and those were conscious attempts to keep him from looking at the planet or whether he really just doesn't give a shit and they were just humorous coincidences.
