Not just with the expanding Earth theory. Remember when Batman: Odyssey came out and it made zero fucking sense?
He kept on insisting that the reason nobody was getting it was because it was a story arc told over multiple issues rather than a story in each issue.
Which is exactly the way literally every superhero comic has been for the past 30 years. Neal Adams is so out of touch that he's never heard of long-form comics storytelling or decompression, and thinks that people didn't understand his work because the idea was novel.
I mean, yeah, most professionals in a field seem not to keep up as much with their contemporaries. Comic book creators aren't really the sort to have a pull list at their LCS. They are pretty much involved in what they themselves are doing, and don't enjoy the medium in the way we fans do after they become professionals.
But even so, most of them are still aware enough of what's going on to not be clueless about what has been the norm in comics for decades. Neal Adams isn't aware. He's just in his own little world. Well, I shouldn't say "little," because it's expanding all the time, apparently.
