Fanfiction also explores AU, Time Travel, and Crossovers. It makes and breaks connections that never should have been, and sometimes can even predict the future of a show. I wrote one back in my earlier days that was basically the final season of a show I adored. I literally got no joy from it cause I had already written it out and it ended almost exactly as I had written it.
