Last thread we talked about:

-Demons
-Golden Girl
--many new pics of her
--More than one new comic of her
-General Freedom VS Tantrum
-BreastQuest
--and I mean actually discussed it with developing the plot of issue 2 and not just lorewanking
--It turns out up to page 14 of issue 1 has been drawn, so that's interesting
-Other new pics like pic related were drawn
-We actually made it to bump limit last time

>Mr. Jackalope, we seen you fight the Hodags and Hugags and even a cactus cat or two, but when are you going to get to the nitty gritty? When are you gonna take care of them dang hidebehinds?
>Have you been drinking again old timer?
>Jackalope, it's the Whirling Wumpus he's causing havoc down on main street, you gotta do something!
>I really need to get myself better enemies.

>Finding himself in a fight against time, Jackalope enlists the aid of one his oldest foes, the startling Splintercat, in a bid to defeat the deadliest foe he's ever encountered, the Devastating Drop Bear!

>So what kind of evil doings get done out here? Ooh, are there weird farm shenanigans afoot? Spooky ghost mines full of haunted gold? Horse thieving? What about cattle rustlin'?
>Cattle rustling? What do you think this place is, bonanza or something? I got my hands full with lumberjack curses, hodags, hugags and all types of fearsome critters. But yeah, I've dealt with a few cattle rustlers, one time they were chupacabras but that's neither here nor there.

>Well, ok then. Do have any backwoods supervillains that you fight?
>Oh yeah, first there's the horrible Hodag, he's a pain in the ass to fight. Shows up when you least expect him too and causes all sorts of mayhem. Then there's Splintercat, that one's always a headache to deal with but we've had to join forces once or twice mainly whenever Drop Bear, that detestable devastator from down under, is up to no good. Then there's your standard small town malcontents, meth dealers, murderous hitch hikers, and the like.

Well Briana and C&L are traveling together, probably towards the Pit. BA's original idea is that they meet Arthur in the middle of a job escorting some women through the desert and mistake him as a bounty hunter capturing them. A short scuffle and things are resolved, they part ways, and then the gang make it to the Pit, where we meet Cassandra and Seymour.

>>
>>83259646
You'd have to sift through the archives to find them though.
>>
>>83260626
Took all of a minute to find the posts. Looks like I condensed 2 and 3.

>Issue 1: Briana's intro, meeting Sharon
>Issue 2: Sharon fight, gun breaks. End's at Los lesbos.
>Issue 3: Explore los lesbos, meet Laura and Carmilla. Bounty hunter fight in their bar, it gets destroyed.
>Issue 4: Briana gets her new gun, Carmilla and Laura join the party
>Issue 5: Set out to the Pit. Once there get fleeced by Cassandra. After a chase they bail Cassandra out of a fight with several strongarms. She returns their shit (at gunpoint) and introduces Seymour. They part ways.
>Issue 6: Bri and crew take a bounty to capture a man who has been kidnapping women. Looking around, they find Arthur as he escorts 2 busty women across the wasteland. They battle after a case of mistaken identity and eventually come to terms. Arthur helps them capture the real kidnapper, and they part ways
>Issue 7: Bri and crew are in Shipwreck on a job to get information on a "sea monster" that attacks boats off the coast. Cass is there with her parents and Seymour. Smitten by the idea of maybe getting a load of dosh out of the sea monsters hide, Cass and Seymour help Bri and crew. Ultimately they are unsuccessful, but Cass and Seymour decide to stick with Bri since she's powerful and can cover their ass, also she gets into trouble a lot which means more money. Crew is now Cass, Bri, Laura, Carmilla, and Seymour.
>Issue 8: Crew on their way to the crossroads to catch a ride to Los Lesbos. Encounters DFC force along the way mid-battle with resistance. Crew intervenes, saves the day. Arthur is there, says they should join the resistance. Crew agrees.
>Issue 9: Arrives as resistance base. They give the crew the rundown on Plana, say they're trying to break into the Archives upper levels to get at some sweet tech but are being stopped by the DFC forces and security of Archives. Special keys needed to gain access to elevator. One is in the Deadlands swamp, another is in the Labyrinth.
more to come
>>
>>83260817
>Issue 10: Crew leaves for Deadlands swamp. Sharon joins them, she had been injured by DFC after a failed assault and rescued by the resistance. They are given a sweet ride to cross the wastelands in. Arrive at Carnival City.
>Issue 11: Carnival city side issue. Crew attempt to scavenge some supplies from the ruins but are quickly attacked by dilapidated security bots. Pushed further inwards, the encounter the Strongman, who the glean information about the old military lab in the deadlands swamp area. The security bots deactivate and the crew leave, headed towards the swamp.

That seems to be as far as Boobanon got with the outlines. We'll probably end up condensing and changing some of them if we keep doing plot outlines.
>>
>>83260817
Still need to figure out why L & C continue to travel with Bri.

Maybe move issue 6 to be issue 3 (2, 3, and 4 in the list were condensed into issue 2) so they get a taste for helping folks before they arrive at The Pit.
>>
>>83260817
>>83260906
Some of this stuff has already been condensed into a single issue, which is nice because then we get to have more issues devoted to side characters and locations.
>>
>>83263276
Yeah I said that already.

So do we want to make issue 3 about Bri, C & L taking on a bounty while on their way to The Pit and meeting Arthur?

Alright, so we need a reason for Bri to travel with L & C. Let's say they hire her as an escort.

Should it be L & C's idea to take on a bounty just so they'll all have some extra cash by the time they get to the pit?

Or Does Bri take on the bounty because she has a strong sense of duty? If Bri is the one taking on the bounty, then I'd imagine L & C haven't hired her officially for the escort job.

Why do we need more of a justification for C&L to travel with Bri? They used to both be soldiers, traveling and fighting is what they're used to. I don't think we really need to deviate from that. It might be wiser to do Cassandra and Seymour before Arthur as is described in the overall outline since you can segue into the whole Arthur thing from them being at the Pit for awhile rather than having Arthur radnomly show up.

I just read 20th Century Boys and wanted to do something similar with Tats. Other than Tats and Conrad, the other characters are OC to not trigger anons as much as I normally do.

The story starts with 4 kids who love comics for different reasons. Kid 1 wants to draw comics but he has a limited imagination, which is why he can't even imagine amazing panel scenes. Kid 2 wants to write a great comic but always seem to not get things right in his story, he feels like the characters don't react the way they should and he can't seem to fix it. Kid 3 just loves reading comics, specially cheesy golden age comics and nothing more. Kid 4 just plays along because he is an outsider anyway. Of course you could say they are kids, of course kid 1 and 2 can't create something impressive but they decide to "test" things out in real live, of course they know there are limitations but they come closer to the real deal as they grow up and work in a comic publishing company.
>>
>>83272822
Both of them defected from their factions and settled in Los Lesbos, they're leaving because their bar was destroyed. They are presumably heading to a new place to live where they won't be bothered again, them deciding to keep traveling with Bri should happen when they get to the Pit instead of something they decide as they're leaving LL.

A justification is needed because they both abandoned the war, that means they no longer wanted to fight. Getting involved with Bri means a whole lot of fighting.
>>
>>83272822
Arthur wouldn't randomly show up if we have him before the Pit since he's either going to the pit or coming from the Pit when they run into him.

Okay I gotta ask. It's been months at least since I first pitched this character and I basically haven't been back to a /coc/ thread since. Did I just get super lucky to click on this specific one, or does that picture get posted a lot?

Also has he had anything else been written about him since the "Multiversal traveller from outside of reality who loves stories" stuff, or is the picture getting posted because the artist who very kindly drew him just knocked it out of the park?
>>
>>83284355

I posted it because I wanted to get some discussion going about a possible Erin story where she goes to some of Hank's (same kind of origin as that guy) old stomping grounds to deliver a demon mask that never shuts up.

I try to get some discussion of things before I start trying to spin a story.

Meeting a traveler on the road is something cliche, yes, but also something I don't think we've ever actually done with Erin before.

About Tats and Conrad

Tats is tired of the world heroes, this colorful world where every problem is resolved by optimism and the heroes always finds a way, even secret plots and conspiracies get solved by super spies and super detectives in a gleeful way, there are no secrets in this world that aren't brought to light sooner or later, one way or another. The world has become too ridiculous and noisy. Which is why she decides to just work as a reporter for the time being.

Conrad on the hand, loves what the world turned into. A world filled heroes and endless amount of comics based on said heroes, truly a childs dream. He himself works as a superdetective but doesn't get much work as there is an abundance of those.

feathers are an abomination perpetrated by liars who hate everything that is cool or awesome.
>>
>>83306074
It's not our fault you hate the embodiment of freedom and liberty. The t-rex looking like an eagle is truly the most glorious visage one could image. The fact that the t-rex stalked America looking like an eagle proves that FREEDOM is eternal.

That's a tyrannosaurus or some other large theropod with a rocket pack named Betty.

I'm not really sure what an adult T-Rex would need feathers for. During its existence the climate was much warmer, and already in today's world, you see large animals that can get away with no fur due to their size giving them a more stable internal temperature.

If it really was that warm when they were alive, and if they really did have feathers, then it was probably an evolutionary leftover from an earlier era that wasn't as warm or required them to be able to regulate their body temperature.
>>
I had an idea in >>83294800 that I thought would be interesting to you guys.

>>83296367

What do y'all think of it?
>>
>>83310185
>>83311189

Feathers are better insulators nd thermoregulators than fur, to begin with.

It's plausible that T-rex lost parts of its coat as it grew in size.

Those parts would be naked skin, though.

Also, there's supposed to be a dinosaur sanctuary on one of the lower outcroppings of Underlair, I wonder if it's inhabited by mini dinos.

Or was it a robot dinosaur sanctuary?

So the "heads" of the mecha armies are industrial corporations, not nations or empires.

I guess I could show the script I've been doing for the first scene.

I presented the idea before, it starts with a local hero who killed himself and Tats has to write an article about it. The first scene shows his room which is mostly empty, with a record player playing some old song, there are some pictures and paper articles about the hero, a close-up to the picture and articles and the next panel is way too blunt, I guess I'll show only the feets over the ground or some shadow on the wall. Than a panel with the shelf.

then a close-up to the shelf with all the comics about him, he has an on-going series published by an small publisher and drawn by several unknown artists. in the next panel, you see the first issue of his on-going comic which is beside the record player. The issue is called cereal problems, its by an unknown author, the comic is about how the hero got his powers by eating radioactive cereals. The other comics look like they've been used many times but the first issue looks like its new.

That still merits some consideration. Tats is a globetrotter after all. This could have happened in Alabama or Algeria or anywhere in between.

Should she be smart or a dunce?

Should be koala-themed like Batman is bat-themed or koala-derived like how Spiderman has spider-based powers?

it never really came to a consensus

personally, I'm all for Koala themed gadgets and fighting style, the powers seem a bit overkill

she can pull a Batman vanishing act in reverse where she does suddenly inexplicably fall from nowhere onto people and things.

>>83360239
I'm fine with that.

One line in that thread that sticks out to me is
