I actually said after Thor they should quietly build up to the implied existence of Taskmaster by having a reoccurring SHIELD agent appear during action scenes in the shows and movies.
Something similar to the Stan Lee cameo except instead of the camera pointing him out it's more like playing Where's Waldo during a fight sequence for repeat viewers.
There'd be this one agent using suspiciously similar weapons and strategies the Avengers did earlier until he's revealed to be a spy impersonating the real agent.
He goes ham on SHIELD taking it apart from within for his mysterious employer. This was before the HYDRA reveal in TWS so I just imagined a generic merc double cross angle.
I also assumed at the time there would be a SHIELD movie and plenty of chances to insert him in other stuff before the reveal.
TWS and CW did a better job with HYDRA and Zemo though so in retrospect it would have been a bust. I do still think someone with a background of quietly analyzing the Avengers for years instead of just studying them obsessively for a year like Zemo would have been easier for an audience to swallow.
Of course Taskmaster would lose Zemo's motive if he was there all along just doing a job instead of having a vendetta after a specific incident. Which reduces him to a slightly more capable Crossbones.
MCU versions of FF characters, mainly Galactus and Doom. Fuck Fox.
And Runaways movie was rumored years ago, that or Young Avengers would make sense.

Yes, Gunn is pretty cool about giving guys he's worked with before cameo roles in everything he does. Didn't they just semi confirm Blade, Moon Knight and Ghost Rider. I think Moon Knight at least is a step above a rumor at this point. Still not for sure, but it could happen. Ghost Rider seems like bullshit, unless someone at Marvel just really wants to see it done well, and Blade I could see. Even Wesley Snipes has mentioned talking with Marvel waaay back [like a year or two], though I doubt he would continue to play Blade, unless they scrapped the new Blade comic to use it as a tv storyline, and it stars his daughter or something, with old man Blade as fulfilling the Whistler role.

Taskmaster is one of my absolute favorite characters, but he's a character that relies on clever writing to be good, and a whole cast of characters he can copy. The whole "no task I cannot master" thing he has? It's so low key and low power that it needs someone with a good sense of what he's capable of.
Taskmaster is a rough character to write, but he'd be horrible in live action.You have a character who can copy someone's movements and create an amalgalm of every fighter's fighting styles?Who can copy voices, copy writing patterns- a clever, amoral tactician?

The Wendigo was introduced in Hulk comics, people only associate him with Wolverine because he appeared in Wolverine's first appearance and because Canada.
However, it is possible that Fox has the righs to him. They somehow got the rights to Viper of all people, and her involvement with mutants is minimal at best compared to Captain America and Hydra.
