He explained what was happening to the DC Universe, there were cool moments like him and Barry Reuniting, Coming To Terms with being Forgotten, Linda Saying He Doesn't Know Who He Is. They're not "Cool Moments" but they have their impact.

No shit, it's called DC Rebirth why the fuck do you think the main purpose was? People loved it because it was carried by Wally's Narration and how he explained why things were different since the Flashpoint. Him not being saved by Linda is there to reinforce the main conflict that will resolved in future events, Love is Gone.

Never said it was, it's a good intro for things to come and sets the tone for the future. It's a $3 One Shot. It's no different from those #0 Issues Marvel has except this one actually worked on a lot of people and got them hyped. People didn't read it expecting the greatest story ever told by DC in years.Unless you read this expecting it to be literally only about Wally and only a storyline about Wally then I guess I could see why you'd be disappointed.

I came in expecting a lot of character vignettes to get people introduced to main themes and plot points that Rebirth was going to run with.
And guess what that's exactly what I fucking got.
And they were pretty good character pieces too. Wally had a couple of really touching moments, we get to see the tragedy of the JSA broken apart and forgotten, some fun banter between Jaime and Ted and hints at a mystical bullshit conspiracy (my favorite kind).
Only part I'm not really invested in is Superman's subplot if only because "Mr. Oz" seems like the same kind of vaguely ominous author OC as Pandora was, and will be forgotten and then unceremoniously killed of within a year.

And it's such a mistake. You'd think they'd realize the audience doesn't need more alternate versions shit right away after a full mediocre season of it. I'm pretty much don't with the show at this point since the comics seem like they're heading in the right direction.
