I always forget how many genuinely good songs Hercules had. The gospel angle was a risky move but it paid off really well for the soundtrack.

The song just doesn't compel nor excite the intended emotion as uniquely as many other Disney songs do. If not for those specific animated parts I mentioned I would never have even assumed Disney put this in one of their films.It's not a bad song but I cannot for the life of me ever understand how people circlejerk it so much when there are infinitely better Disney songs out there.
