What's /co/s opinion of Uberquest?
>>

>>
I've never heard of it.

Kibbles is my waifu

It's on the same site as Las Lindas, but from what some have said about this it's decent, not the best but pretty decent.

Is that like a quest to get a taxi?

>Las Lindas as the prime example
>Makes no sense
>Became full fledged porn the minute they show Miles fucking Geecku
>They try to act like it isnt just by simply not having it on the site
>Ironically it was porn the minute Mora fucked Miles, and that happened way back during it's early period, and it's on the site too

>Uberquest
>Other than a fanservice moment, there hasnt been an instance of anyone fucking
>There would've been a not canon comic of a pairing going at it, but that was ultimately wasted by a girl with her sparkledog tier oc fucking Slash, winning their charity auction.
>The quality of the artwork, even down to the coloring looks effortless
>Speculated The two didnt like having to do this
>The girl who won apparently loves to pay people to have her oc fuck irl celebs

It could use some work, but it isn't bad. There's room for improvement.

Not all the katbox comics are bad. Most of them are average and in my opinion the only bad ones are Las Lindas and Rascals. I guess Draconia Chronicles too, but that's because it runs on the whole "The world and everyone in it is horrible and the few good people have bad shit happen to them all the time". The Eye of Ramalach has been pretty good, to me.

I recently just read through it all in one go, so this isn't the opinion of a longtime fan, still closer to just an initial reaction. I didn't really like it, it feels like it was meant to be a video game parody or commentary for the first chapter, then completely changed it's course and went on to focus on the characters and some hamfisted story rather than the setting or the video game tropes it was parodying.

The characters whose backstories and motivations and personalities that are explored rather than continuing it's initial theme aren't that good or compelling or interesting. Womanizing asshole rogue with a heart of gold but really just comes off as an asshole through and through despite the writer's best efforts, young girl traumatized by loss of her village turned no-nonsense badass slightly-less young girl trying to prove herself as a warrior while avenging something, anything. Nothing original or worth exploring. If it's RPG tropes this comic was going for it would have done a lot better if it just assumed you already knew the gist of their deal, which you should, and only explain as needed, not derail the series over.

Claire kind of kills the medieval fantasy RPG theme for seemingly no reason other than just for the sake of having a time-traveler from the future character.

Kibbles is the only character I like, and even then I have to admit that that's probably just personal preference for her bubbly, warm, soft smile that is worth protecting.

Things seem to be heading towards more focus on the setting and an overall plot rather than the same tragic backstories we've seen a thousand times. I actually do not like the RPG trope parodies, though, I've seen them enough times and they were never funny, but again, that's more a matter of personal preference than a critique. But maybe I'm wrong and it will get good, with those rehashed backstories behind us we can finally get to some good stuff, even make Claire relevant.

It's hopelessly awful. Nobody should waste their time on this shit; there are many better stories in the world to read

what do you recommend then, anon?

I don't know, that's a pretty broad question. You can do a lot better than this webcomic easily, though. I just hate that people would ignore works that are actually original and well-written and instead absorb trash like this. There's no reason to settle.
