The entire episode nullified what the core theme of the season was supposed to be about: light vs dark. Olivers light was Felicity and Darhk darkness came from his wifes death.
Oliver wants justice and Darhk wants revenge.
Oliver was able to defeat Darhk and when he was at he weakest, what did he do? Fucking kill him. We spent 2 entire seasons of Oliver saying no killing and then kills him because Felicity says so, then fucking does a 180 and say what he did was wrong.
The tone of this episode is depressing.

I liked Arrow's finale more than Flash's.

ORAS was really dissapointing, but one of the things it managed to do right was make surfing incredibly easy. If you catch a sharpedo and surf on it, you surf twice as fast and are less likely to run into wild pokemon. Repels are also readily available, and the surfing speed for non-sharpedo is much faster than in RSE anyway.

To be fair, the show started as a show about how Oliver Queen was to become the Green Arrow. To what extent was up for debate, initially they just aimed for the "Arrow" minus the "Green" part. But midway production the team fully embraced the comicbook aspects of everything and upped the ties to the comicbook roots more and more and fully set sail for it to be a story about Oliver Queen eventually becoming the Green Arrow.
And that was no joke a story they were making. But then said creative team left Arrow to work on Flash instead. And we all know what happened with the remaining two seasons.
