i feel like my drawings are coming out really flat recently, i feel like i need to go back a few steps
can you give me some good tutorials/exercises about drawing basic 3 shapes in different angles and also on how to start constructing/seeing the things i draw more 3 dimensionally

Read Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain. It also helps to understand perspective too. My favorite book on that is The Art of Perspective. It's easy to understand and it never gets too technical.
You can also buy 3D Styrofoam shapes from Jo-Anns, Michael's, or any store that sells art or crafting supplies. Doing still lifes is the best way to understand 3D forms.
