James Roberts has his wobbles, and it fucking sucks. But ever since the second Scavengers arc, the book was more often good than bad. He's hardly the savior he was hailed as after LSOTW and the first season of MTMTE, but I'd still take a book that is sometimes shit and sometimes great over a book that's been consistenly bad for like a year now, and it looks like it's only getting worse, see Ex-RID.

Simon Furman later ended up writing about the last 30-40% of the US series. Yes. One of the previous Vos' was Agent 113 who shot Swerve with a data bullet. Of course that Vos could have been Ambus but the mention of original Agent 113 does obviously include more than one going by that name. Which is funny, really, given both brothers thus had inherited titles. Dominus originated the title of Agent 113 while Minimus merely carried on the name of Ultra Magnus.

Probably, though the Agent 113 in issue 44 didn't have the Ambus family mustache. Also he has a bayformer hat, though frankly those ARE just hats in IDW so no biggie there.
Raises the question of whether Dominus went in without his armor since nobody was likely to recognize him or if he had a special armor built since that way he could become one of the DJD as ANY Decepticon the Autobots know is dead and create a suit to resemble him. The only qualification would be the size of the con must be such that it would allow Dominus to fit into an armor version of that cybertronian. There is ridiculously huge potential for spying from the Ambus brothers.

So what are we thinking here? Dominus is dead and that's the end of this story? Or Dominus isn't dead and Chromedome had enough time to complete or nearly complete the fix? Or Dominus died but Rewind interrupted Chromedome's fix in-progress causing massive neural feedback so when Chromedome wakes up he'll end up having some aspect of Dominus Ambus in his head which is both enough to give Rewind the two men he most loves in the same body and also be really super creepy.
