Should someone like Starscream be given detailed, convoluted backgrounds or simply "random asshole that happen to get where he is"?
Also, TF thread. Last one was wild >>83111528

A hybrid of both I guess?

And how. Most fun I've had in a decacycle.

Depends on which retelling but I kind of like the idea that Starscream is so ambitious and so set on climbing upwards, we're never allowed to know where exactly he came from.
Maybe hints and stories from the past but not the starting place.

Did anyone else not like issue 53's artwork? Fir all the time they took to release the fucker I thought the artwork couldve been better
>>83163405
Which 53 specifically? Both had shit art.

MTMTE, I liked the way Milne and Sakamoto worked together.
For exRID, I thought the art was too juvenile, somehow. I think the book could've fooled me into thinking the story was deeper if the art was better.

He should be introduced as a random asshole. After he's been around awhile, and the audience thinks he's just a one note character, then you give him some backstory that makes people actually care about him.

Depends.
Is this Starscream someone that is just untrustworthy and have maybe been a little opportunistic? Sure, no explanation needed.
Is this Starscream someone who have backstabbed a much more powerful and supposedly merciless killbot more times than the Joker have murdered people? Then it is explanation time.

What I would like is an issue/episode dedicated to Starscream's backstory, as told by a bunch of other characters.
Of course all the stories are completely different and wildly contradict each other, with the last shot zooming out on Starscream looking smugly mysterious.

This

>most of the stories sound plausible in someway
Good night guys.
