God I wish we had some really fun, not-too-gritty X films. Focused on the school a little more.

Also Dazzler.

it's different in tone from dofp

because the movie is over 2 hours long, and they wanted to concentrate on scenes that move plot forward

Oh shit I forgot Jubilee was a vampire

Remember that short-lived X-23 series where she was rolling with Gambit then at some point Wolverine and vampire Jubilee showed up to hang out?

that was such a good fucking time for Marvel, Uncanny X-Force, Venom, Scarlet Spider, Future Foundation...

Liar, what about the whole fanservice. weapon x??? quicksilver again??? they were amazing but just there because...because!
>>
>>83137949
They wanted to estabilish what was Wolverine up to. Also, you had Stryker kidnapping X-kids after Chuck is gone. Quicksilver finally decided to face his papa. The thing is, mall sequence would be fun as hell, but it would overload the movie.

The thing is, I feel like it's going to be the same as with DOFP was. Initial opinions on /co/ were mixed, but once Rogue Cut was out, DOFP was hailed as fuck. And yeah, I remember that /co/ complained about the lack of Rogue either.
And they also nitpicked everything about DOFP as well.

It's funny that currently everyone acts like "we always loved that movie". You f a ms change opinions more than you change underwear

>>
>>83137711
you're welcome. you might be surprised, because I expected 2deep4u movie. Thankfully, they balanced it a little. You get some exposition, and there is a discussion between Apocalypse and Chuck, but it's not pretentious.

The plot and pacing is very straightforward.
>>
>>83138032
how do you imagine a perfect Apocalypse?
>>
Anyone know what was in the mall sequence, I keep hearing about stuff like Jubilee using her powers and a Dazzler cameo which all sounds great.

Also wouldn't have hurt to have Jean tell Jubilee to stay and look after the students or something like that instead of her just disappearing.
>>
>>83138047
Slightly related but are there any good X books at the minute? I'm reading ANAD Wolverine and Old Man Logan but that's it. X-Men used to be my favourite but I feel like they're getting shafted at the minute.
>>
>>83137423
>why

Bad editing.
>>
>>83138077
Both TAS and Evolution did it well.
It always felt like X-Men oppose an actual God in those.
In the movie he felt like a very strong mutant, but not that much of a threat. Hell, he only became a giant in Xavier's mind.
>>
>>83138141
but TAS Apo was a jobber
>>
>>83138123
Uncanny X-Men is great, if you can stomach Land
ANXM is "safe". Neither good, nor bad. Inoffensive at worst.
EXM has nice spotlight on young kids, but otherwise it seems like Lemire doesn't know what to do.

OML is okay, albeit decompressed, download it first and see if you like. I kinda like it.

ANW is fun, and divisive, even if I don't understand why. It could be better, but I enjoy it

I also like X-Men 92, but it's pure guilty pleasure, so it depends on how you feel about the classic X-Men.
>>
>>83138029
Wait why does Jubs look at her own breasts? It makes no sense at all, she knows her own size and she has to know that a woman 10+years her age will have bigger ones, so why compare.
>>
>>83138141
>Both TAS and Evolution did it well.
The movie apoc feels a little mix of both.
Keep in mind that it took a joint effort of Mags, Prof, Phoenix, Storm, Cyclops to defeat him both in astral plane and physical plane.

And frankly, I've seen a theory that he sort of transferred to Psylocke, albeit I feel like it's bullshit

The movie Apoc is a little ripp van winkle. He hates the modern world, he hates what it became, but he also loves mutants, he call his children. In many ways, and this is disturbing, he is very sympathetic. But he does spout his classic remarks like "weaklings!" "only strong will survive", and "survival of the fittest"
>>
>>83138153
Was he?
I remember him holding X-Men on the ropes most of the time. They never really managed to defeat him until that one four-parter.
The only time I remember him being vulnerable is when his own sentient ship started shooting at him.
It took every telepath in the world to wipe him out because of "in this place time and thought are one" thing and he still came back.
>>
>>83138170
I can barely deal with Land, but if it's good I'll still check it out

Well I always thought that it is like propaganda only from a different culture. So like our stuff has the obey law/parents/goverment stuff and yours has the we all gay/women runing around half naked/etc stuff. I do like the ways your are painted more. A taste thing.
>>
>>83138741
Nope. But I would like to know why a boy may be interested if women are jealous about other women. When from the get go, he knows very well that all of them always all. He just has to look at his sisters or his fathers wives to know that.
>>
>>83138833
That's very polite of you that you accept my wanton. It's only propaganda when they force you to accept their unlimited shilling
>>
>>83138862
Because boys have penises. And they can use the jealousy for eventual mud wrestling between the women. Kapische?
>>
>>83138864
Well everything is propaganda. Being able to get food, go where you want or do what you want to do. Art is just of many things that the goverment uses to shape all of a countries groups. If it also looks good, it is a bonus. And wester civilisation got looking good to a grand master level. So why not enjoy it .
>>
>>83138880
Yeah. Only for that to happen females would have to be within eye sight of males not from their closest family. Now I know from watching your porn that you all are in to incest and stuff like that, but I think it is just the case for males. Man do not care much who they stick their penieses in, women not so much as they made end up with a retard child or stoned .
>>
>>83138976
Exactly. As a matter of fact, you can sample other cultures within the existing culture. Which is why we should migrate from country to country. Remember that if you build a wall, it makes it harder to go to the other side of the street.

Numerous times retarded children are forced for women to be raised, as the religious system forbids them to abort the fetuses, as they are seen as valuable for their hierarchy. Good call with incest porn, as it's something that it's also exported en masse to the world, through numerous milf fetishes amped up to eleven by the industry.

I don't want to give you bad ideas, but hiding in your brother's suitcase can be a good option, if it's big. Just chose the brother who has a better taste in travelling. Of course, you didn't get this idea from me.
>>
>>83139060
religion my forbid anything, and am not saying they don't, but it is women who take care of children. So if the said woman, and her mother in law, decide they don't want the child it will just you know "die". On the milf stuff, I find the wester stuff tame in comperation to what an avarge boy around here thinks about his aunts specialy. In fact given an avarge wealthy house hold, I would say aunts are the main source fantasy at a pre school age, or till you learn how to remove any locks on porn put up by one parents.
>>

Some stuff about the mall scene from Singer.

>There’s a much [longer version of that scene]. I did an entire montage of them hanging around the mall, going to record stores, going to an arcade that I named after my childhood arcade, Space Port, when I lived in New Jersey… The whole idea was to show them among people, and it was fun, it was set to music.

>There’s one really fun beat where, well, she pointed it out, Sophie Turner – who is gorgeous – her strange resemblance to Boy George on the cover of this one album. So we literally have a scene, which you’ll see on the DVD, where Cyclops says, ‘Anyone ever tell you you look like this?’ (pretends to hold up a record). And she’s like, ‘Scott!’ It’s great. There’s a lot of sweet moments – one where Nightcrawler looks and people are just staring at him. There’s one where a guy just nods and smiles. And he’s like, ‘They don’t fear us!’ And they’re like, ‘Yeah, because mutants live among us now.’

>And in the end, when you look at a film as a feature, it’s called ‘the collective experience.’ And you find certain things that you loved so much in individual scenes, they somehow disrupt the collective experience. And so that was one area where I made a drastic reduction – well, not that drastic a reduction. It’s like a minute or two, or less. But there are some fun beats!
>>
>>83139538
Thanks bro. I always wanted to go in to something like interior design or failing that , which probably is going to be the case, engineering. Although then I would end up working with the family. Not bad per se, but a lot less freedom in doing stuff. Still better, then my oldest brother. I do not like him, plus he is 19 years older then me, but man he is fucked after he gets married this year. No more car racing, no more trips to europe, just work work. Plus his mother in law is know to be a woman not even satan would have wanted. And it so happens that he will have to live with his wifes family. :D the small things in life, that make one happy.

Because it is literally part of jubilees character when she is younger that she isn't very attractive (multiple times she is confused for a boy and also has gone on disguise as a boy) where as her teammates are always hot as fuck like Betsy, dazzler, or M.

Her characterization before she got older was that she wasn't too bright or pretty and was acting like boom boom to cover for her insecuritys in how she compares herself to others and how she feels about losing her parents.

A great example of this is uncanny 303 where she keeps trying to say she doesn't give a shit about Ilyana but takes Illyana's death harder than anyone except for colossus. She also gets super jealous of kitty being friends with Illyana and tries to act all aloof and cool about it

Jubilee is an absolutely shit character and her story was given to Rouge in the first movie anyway.

I never understood why so many people wanted her in since she did fuck all.
Is it because she was the only one yet to be represented from the 90's cartoon?
>>
>>83144134
Kitty's story was given to rogue. Rogue was an amalgamation of kitty and rogue.

And people like jubilee because she is fun and bouncy and acts like a total brat

When jubilee is little she is like the polar opposite to kitty and most of the xmen who came before her
>>
>>83144300
Which then had her in '90s X-Men the animated series, on the main comic roster, and eventually moved to Generation X as a legacy character to get you to try out the new competing book against Gen 13. She was added to the TV movie cast later because of her popularity
>>
>>83144791
>legacy character
How is she a legacy character? That's like saying colossus is a legacy character because he is strong like beast.

She was in the main comic in the issue right after inferno, 3 years before the cartoon.

They did stick her in gen x to compete with gen 13 and because new mutants had become x force. New mutants didn't need kitty because new mutants had a pretty good cast with Magik, cannonball, mirage, wolfsbane, sunspot, and warlock. Where as jubilee is really the only notable member of gen x. I mean basically no one has ever heard of skin, synch, or husk. And when your second most popular character is M you know no one cares about the rest of the team.

I was really into 90's X-men back in the day and I was psyched to see this. I remember being utterly disappointed by it since the characters barely used their powers in it. Also, they had the guy who played Max Headroom as the villain. Still, it's worth watching today just for a laugh.
