Trinity War was okay but it was billed completely different from how it actually turned out. Forever Evil was legitimately good shit.
Futures End is a mixed bag but had a few pretty great sub-plots. Worlds End is complete shit and should just be buried at the bottom of the trash heap.
Convergence's main title was crap, but a lot of the tie-ins were really good.
Darkseid War I suspect will read better in a trade, but stretched out over the months and delays right now it's really frustrating.

I remember Robinson, Didio and Johns were building up to a meeting between the main earth and Earth 2, and there are a lot of beats between them. Then Robinson left and the meeting was scrapped, and DCYou became a thing and they committed to no events. So no main event mini with JL tie ins and stuff.

Like the ARGUS shit and the colored rooms had to be dropped since the FE mini didn't do well, Vibe had to be dropped, Doom Patrol was used in like two issues and then never mentioned again, Snart was dropped, Aquaman was in the FCBD for Darkseid War but didn't appear, etc.

There are a lot of unresolved plot points. the issues should have had more pages.
I think the problem is less that it's long, and more that a lot of the parts that have been stretched out are the wrong pats to stretch out.
I would've enjoyed more focus on the Anti-Monitor, Darkseid, Barda and Scot, and the god transformations, but too much of the focus has been on Grail herself.

Convergence superboy was amazing. Teen Titans brings Lian Harper back to life. Convergence Superman was the goodbye I needed for the character. The Batgirl mini, though, was awful.
For events? Eh, try Doomed or Court of Owls. Those will give you a taste of the Superman and Batman books at the time. Rotworld is about the same. Either you will love it or hate it.

Johns has always suffered from ADD with different characters when he writes a big team book, it's what dragged down the later parts of his JSA run, and it's what's continually disappointed in his Justice League now. When he shrunk the cast, it sidelined a lot of characters but it let him do more interesting things with the ones left.
