Shit-tons of "WHY DOESN'T BAMTAM KILL THE JOKURR?" threads flooded /co/ after The Dark Knight came out, and although eventually there were fewer of them they never really stopped. At some point, someone started a thread with a screencap of BTAS Gordon and role-played him demanding that Batman murder the Joker. When /co/ pointed out that was retarded and made the argument even less valid by making Gordon a total hypocrite, eventually the conversation trended towards "So if he can't KILL the Joker, what COULD he do to him that could theoretically permanently put a stop to his crime sprees?"
"Why don't you just RAPE the Joker?" became le meme because "Why don't you just CRIPPLE the Joker?" doesn't sound as funny.
"Why doesn't Batman just kill the Joker" was pretty much a daily thread on /co/.
Then people started building a narrative with Gordon describing the horrors done by the Joker and asking Batman why he wouldn't just kill him.
The Op would start with an image of Gordon and "roleplay" as him saying these things.
Slowly it seemed like Commissioner Gordon had some kind of obsession with making Batman kill the Joker, almost a fetish, if you will.
So along with the usual moralfag/bait threads joke threads started replacing the word "kill" with a spoilered "rape".
Why does it get posted multiple times a day is what I want to know.
