Early Homestuck seemed to know where it was going with the meta. Things like WV giving commands; it was incredible.
Act 5 did things like both make fun of and unironically focus on shipping, but it was still acceptable.
Then Calliope and Caliborn happened. And look where we are now: A character got the ability to retcon the story. The word has been used at least once in-comic.

Well that's the problem, I'm not sure how to interpret a Thief of Blood. What connection is there with actively stealing bonds and vitality? Outside of like, stamina drain I guess from a theoretical mechanical standpoint. I'm not really sneaky, in fact i'm rather bold when pushed into activeness but passive as a default, which doesn't seem to fit with something like a Thief. But perhaps I'm just not interpreting it fully, the only Thief I can think of is Vriska and she's so inconsistent it's hard to judge the finer points of the class.
As for the test itself, one observation that may be relevant to me at least is a lot of the questions focusing on team based interaction talk about ability to interact with a team, but not the actual intent or motivations linked to that. By this I mean, I'm good at leading groups and can work with others, but I don't put much value at all in doing so. There's a couple of questions on coping as an individual but perhaps a few more focused on intent in a group scenario could help even things out?

i think its most likely that as his fanbase got bigger and bigger it was increasingly clear that huge numbers of real 13 year olds were actually trying to live and act like his 2.5 dimensional semi-psychopathic parodies, and andrew freaked out by the idea that that was His Fault.

Give us any or all moments you remember of Vriska and Meenah being sneaky. Now give us any or all moments of them being bold. Yeah. You can't go into this with a bunch of definitions for class and aspects from outside the comic. Thieves are dominant and acquisitive, not just literally or even necessarily criminals and pilferers. A businessman who loves businessing fits the Thief bill.
That said, if you feel you are passive then this could be an issue. You've have to explain more what you mean on the group/team questions stuff.

Yes I suppose the typical intepretation of a Thief is something sneaky, so I let that cloud my interpretation of the Class. Truth be told I forgot who the other Thief was, but now thinking on it there's still the issue with being the active boss/center of attention that wouldn't fit in with me as a person. I'd much prefer the number 2 or 3 role in a group format, where you have influence on decision but a gap in which you can disassociate yourself with the act itself.

i think one example is how tumblrs sidebars soured him extremely hard on the idea of the kids having lists of interests and following them to the letter. that was what led him to start subverting the interests in act 6 act 5 - look! jake never really liked adventure at all, and trying to define himself and force himself into a box to be 'interesting' was actually really unhealthy and got in the way of his development! - but the original readership always knew that shit was a joke, it wasn't a lesson we needed to be taught by someone who'd acted like they respected our intelligence up until that point
