It was a good one. Established homeworld as having some scary tech and had Steven watch best gem die right before his eyes. I think my favorite scene though is still Lapis's original reveal though. The suspense of the series build up to their first encounter with a gem that isn't them was fantastic.

I honestly think that the new episode reveals a lot about the end of the rebellion.
Based on posts from the last thread, it's become clear that the gem scorched earth theory is true.
The only gems that seemed uncorrupted were gems that had no physical form. The only gems that had physical forms that were safe were Rose, Pearl, Amethyst and Garnet, due to Rose's shield.
Pic related, as it seems that three of the Diamonds were the cause, hence the white blue and yellow glow.The sound of the blast even matches the Diamond communication device activating from "message received"
This may actually show that Rose is Pink Diamond, since pink was missing from the blast.

I do think though that Pink Diamond is dead, and was probably dead before this rebellion. Because everything is the Crystal Gems fault.
If they hadn't rebelled, there'd been no war. Without war, she wouldn't have been poofed and turned into a mirror. As mirror, her own people tortured her because they thought she was a crystal gem, and she couldn't prove to them she wasn't. Finally, she got left behind, and the Crystal Gems kept her imprisoned and only used her as a tool, leaving her otherwise in a box, for several thousand years.
Worse, once she makes a friend, he rescues her, he heals her, and she makes it back to home world, home world AGAIN interrogates her and sends her back to earth as an intel source, against her will, because it is still fighting the crystal gems.
She lost her home and can never return because of the crystal gems.
She was tortured and imprisoned because of the crystal gems.
She is lost in a universe, cut off from everything she ever knew, cut off from her diamond, has no home and only 1 friend in the entire universe. And her friend is a young crystal gem that spends all his time with the very gems responsible for starting and driving the rebellion.

I don't understand why people prefer weekly airing over a bomb airing.
We had to wait one week for yesterday's episode and barely anything happened. Don't get me wrong, it made perfect sense and was a good transition between that two parter that aired two weeks ago and what we're gonna get next week, but it doesn't change the fact that not much actually happened. And now we have to wait another week.
I would have liked this episode much better if it was part of a bomb.
Daily episodes sustain the hype while giving enough time for actual discussion about the lastest episode.
With weekly episodes I just move on to someone else in the meantime because what else are you even supposed to do?

That's not even counting their actual physical military capability. Earth makes gems become flawed. It stresses gems and reveals their flaws. Flawed gems are useful only as power sources and computing elements to the home world gem society.

Pearl was physically poofed by a GEM hardlight weapon. You know, the same substance her own body is made of. Furthermore, it was a combat trainer, and the gems have shown many times that they just respawn whenever something actually poofs their body. Some quickly, some take their time and redesign their forms.
So if you don't shatter the gem, you at best are only putting down a gem for a few hours to a couple of weeks. And that's if you can do that. It takes more than a gun shot to cause a gem to poof when it isn't a gem weapon used on them. We know that from watching Amythest get poofed. She either gets poofed fighting gems (corrupted gem monsters). When has she been poofed from something as little as being stabbed by a non-gem weapon or crushed by a bolder?
Humans, even now, are no threat to gems whatsoever unless they are using gem weapons.
