Vannessa Huggins is cute, I have faith but the writing needs improvement, her acting is awkward/clunky too especially the "that's wrong you can't do that" scene which was a little cringe

Despite all that, looks promising, I laughed, I'm looking forward to this, I dig that girl with the bob,

I've read that comic, and I don't think it's clever despite being obscure since modern versions of Lex Luthor do not look like that.

So if you don't know when and why this was made the reference is just lost on you, but if you do then you should have enough information to realize the reference fits as well as a square in a triangular hole.
Now if they have a photo of a Lex in the show with the same proportions I'll retract this remark.

>As for it being different than the silver age Lex Luthor, that's the way I had to handle it, as Lex Luthor had been changed by John Byrne and Marv Wolfman in the regular books.

NBC has struggled launching sucessful comedies for years, which is why community and parks survived for as long as they did. I think the only two returning comedies next season are superstore and carmichael.

Powerless has generated more buzz than all the other new comedies, has a mostly good cast, and clearly the writers know the comics. I'd say unless it fails miserably, it's all but guaranteed to comeback for a second season.
