Season 2 is "we know the writing's shit and our villain's motives are flimsy at best but DON'T YOU WANT TO KNOW THE IDENTITY OF THE SECRET MAN? BETTER STAY TUNED!!". Season 2 doubles down on its mysteries, so having the mystery be predictable is worst than season 1's not-so-mysterious plot being predictable.
