The series started as books back in like 2003. The first few books were just about the twins fucking around in the town, book 3 or 4 is when the actual storyline started.

The show happened in 2007 when they tried pushing the series hard, they even did a collab with target iirc. But it sadly never caught on and the show only lasted like 20 something episodes and the book series was cancelled before the twins were able to stop Stephanie.
