New York Comic Con to start using some kind of convoluted system to verify ticket buyers:

This sucks for those of us who sold like 10 tickets for $1000, it was easy money but I feel even with this system in place if you use fake names you can get around it and still make a decent profit.

I've been going for four years and I'm officially done with this con. It's not because of the new system but because there truly is nothing to fucking do at this con. It's good for people who wanna buy shit but other than that is pretty bland and boring if you just wanna socialize. I've experienced other cons outside of NYCC and after that you better believe I'm not going back to it.
Also it saves me money.

Yea you just walk around in a sea of humanity and it takes hours to see or try anything. Panels sell out in seconds. I went to Denver CC last year for the first time and that was chill as fuck. Wasn't as convoluted, freedom to do whatever and there is beer everywhere. I got shit faced then hung out with the red power ranger.

Even for cosplaying it's a pretty dull con. People rarely want to talk, you don't see alot of interesting ones besides 500 of the same shit. I've been to katsucon and magfest of this year and those cons were way more fun. It was easy to find parties, to meet new people and just generally had more of a chill vibe along with cooler cosplays.

I was at NYCC when that thing first got revealed. And they just make the atmosphere more tense, girls at cons see all guys as potential rapists. Even if you're just trying to be friendly most guys don't bother because they don't want to be labeled as a rapist just because they fucked up in a conversation.

Budgeting? its really easy and very simple. Never late on a bill, no need for credit card (just debit to buy crap on-line) and I can consistently save enough money for shopping for new stuff but no impulse buys unless its left over money at the end of the month. Try ear marking all of your money for two weeks and see if it does not last you longer and give you more freedom in the long run as well. I can dip into my savings account and buy her a ticket but I do not like to do things like that because it gets too easy to deplete your savings 100 bucks at a time for no real reason.

All young people are boot licking babies now, so they must have common sense things spelled out and if things are not spelled out then they were not warned.
