Main issue is that episode 3 to 12 are mostly filler that vary in quality, the worst being ep 5 that was meant as a pilot. SO it's a bit of a grind at first. On the other hand episodes like The Black Crow and the Boufbowl arc are fantastic.
After that you're in for a fucking ride.
I find season 2 to be a bit inferior to s1, but it's mainly due to change of themes and weak middle season.
OVAS are good, if a bit of wasted opportunies.
Dofus is meh IMO. It has qualities but it's really not the same show.
2nd best cartoon in recent years, right after Avatar.

The 3 OVAs take place around a year after the end of Season 2, and are pretty cool. They kinda go overboard on the dragonball z fighting, but its still pretty cool.
Make sure to watch the Dofus series before you watch the OVAs though. The Dofus cartoon is pretty goddamn great.

I actually prefer Dofus to Wakfu in a lot of ways.
I never felt frustrated with it like I did Wakfu, feelingI was wasting time on filler which added nothing. Dofus is pretty much all standalone episodes, but they all contribute to understanding Keke's life or do something interesting with the characters. Filler in Wakfu is usually just an inconsequential time waste.
