No. If you actually like and read those old comics, there are some pretty damn good adaptations here. The humor is closer to uncle jokes, but only because it was like that in Golden Age and Silver Age stuff...

I think they had a betting pool going in the writer's room for the most obscure reference they could work into a show successfully. I mean seriously, the the final episode was Bat-Mite vs. Ambush Bug, AND THEY MADE IT WORK.
It's not silly, or random, it's just campy.
It's like what kids wanted out of their 70s cartoons instead of what they got. It's saturday morning minus the censors.

The only real issue with this show is that sometimes it goes out of its way to have everyone suck Batman's cock, but it's a minor gripe. The show is solid, very solid. Probably the best Batman show tied with BTAS, though it deals with a different side of Batman that BTAS didn't so they shouldn't really be compared as they're apples and oranges. But I'd say they're on par in quality while being night and day.

BatB Aquaman is so genuine. People have brought up before how a lot of writers who are fans of the character come across as defensive because they feel they have to respond to the "he just talks to fish" jokes, but BaTB pretty much ignored that crap and just showed him as an adventurous, genial king of the sea.
