You know the drill
Post symbiotes
Discuss symbiotes
Friendly reminder that Mania is probably going to show up soon.
And this is the letters page from the latest issue. Maybe she's showing up in the upcoming earth centric story involving Flash's recent past.
Where i can start reading venom?
If you had a symbiote what would you do?
I know what you lewd symbiote guys wanna do, but what about everyone else?
>>82804349
Realistically use my shapeshifting to become a movie star. Who needs cgi when I can just be an actual alien monster?
>>82804349
Honestly, if it was a post Spidey venom? Try to calm it, adjust to a new host.
If not, then definitely start using the added strength and power to my advantage, maybe find a new job that suits the new physique.
Maybe gradual forays into superheroing, my drive to help people is too strong not to try. If we're successful, try and build my schedule around that, maybe the symbiote can help with that.
Suits and fine clothes look unless public stealth is absolutely necessary. No 'spandex' form. Tights are a huge no no to me.
Imagining the companionship and almost becoming a higher being sounds so...peaceful. Finally having someone else to help comb through the noise in my head. Who knows maybe we'd have enough focus to write some books about the experience.
>>82809582
...I'm kinda lame I know.
>>82809582
Nah sounds fine, you sound like an okay guy.
Also that last part makes me think, what would a religious person think of having or knowing someone with a symbiote? Would there be anything wrong with basically merging with another being?
>Kim Jacinto on next issues of space knight
OH BABY
>>82810021
Some might think of it as a violation of self, perverting what you are with a foreign creature. Actually I can think of a lot of people that would hate symbiotes for simply attaching themselves to and altering people.
Though some might veiw it as a religious experience, connecting with the universe through another being, altered mindstates and such.
>>82810258
Cletus is too handsome.
What's going on in this thread?
>>82811731
Absolutely nothing.
>>82811314
Not sure how many people on 4ching chongs are religious or semi religious, or attempting to be, but I feel like if I suddenly got a symbiote I'd have to go to church and pray about what to do.
I have no idea if god would be okay with it or not.

>>82814563
Under the moonlight? Er. Wait...no that's not it.
>>82817417
>parasite
Venom's the one who always wanted symbiosis.
And the symbiote was being ripped apart by her sonic scream and was incredibly weak. Plus, Flash was dying as well.
>>82817638
It's still classified under a parasitic organism, just a specialized one.
That was just a cursory glance so I had no context to believe that venom would be in danger from the fall, venom has shrugged off sonics of varying strengths before, somewhat.

>>82797491
>>82821818
>>82823610
>>82823894
You forget this was all the symbiote manipulating Flash into falling down the evil route. Remender was working his way up for Flash to become fully corrupted by the symbiote before they decided they wanted to keep Agent Venom around longer and went with the lazy "the symbiote actually loves him" route.
>>82824527
Doesn't matter what was gonna happen, all that matters is what actually happened.
>>82824680
And what actually happened was the symbiote still isn't over Eddie as it has never caused him bodily harm and still harbors deep affection for him without the need of drugs or being "cleansed" into a Klyntar. Hell, Flash and the symbiote's whole relationship was entirely based on mistrust and a power struggle.
>>82824771
I'm mostly just disappointed there's no cape of tendrils.
>>82824851
Eh, it'd create too much drag.
Plus you'd end up with bits of it dripping on whatever you flew over.
>>82825082
Pity she and the other Symbiotes were killed off by Brock.
Really big pity.
>>82824846
I never said the symbiote was over Eddie, and totally agree it still has feelings for him. It's the host it's had the longest life with so of course there's still gonna be a connection there. I mean, it still cares deeply about Peter and jumped to go back to his body during Superior.
That doesn't mean it doesn't care about Flash though. And ya, it started out being used as a tool, but they really developed something special. Flash doesn't use the drugs anymore, and hasn't since I believe he left the secret avengers.
>>82797491
Thats really sweet, OP. Good idea.
>>82825101
Well, the symbiote itself could very well be alive, seeing as how awful his attempt at killing Hyrbid was, even if the host actually died. Though that might be a special case considering Hyrbid's made up of 4 different symbiotes.
>>82825101
Scream is the only on who escaped, actually. She was last written in something like the early 90's though, and no one has touched her since.
Fun fact, the original Toxin run was meant to be about Scream, but it was decided a brand new character would sell better.
>>82825101
Yeah, it sucks, though if anyone was going to kill them I'd rather it be Eddie.
>>82825169
>Scream is the only on who escaped, actually. She was last written in something like the early 90's though, and no one has touched her since.
Uhh, got some bad news for you bro.
Also, another fun fact, I talked to Remender, and he said he killed Scream because Marvel told him to. He said they wanted to get rid of a bunch of the other symbiotes hanging around.
They obviously changed their minds though, what with Mercury team, and Scorn, and Toxin.

Wait a fucking a second, that looks like a page from Spider-Womem, are we going to get Venom in that series? I've been waiting for Silk to encounter a symbiote I just didn't think it would be during that event.
I don't understand why there's such a furore over the existing symbiotes (such as they are) when there's so much potential for other potential hosts.
Pic related.
>>82826192
Agent Venom's the most patriotic of them all. He is literally a soldier.

>>82826242

>>82826358
>why can't Marvel go completely nuts sometimes
I'd like you to meet Todd Zillar, US Army
>>82826358
>The Venom symbiote needs to change hosts more often.
Wasn't the original idea that the symbiote got kicked out by the rest of its kind because it didn't want to use its hosts up and switch to a new one? It wanted to form a true symbiosis with just the one host instead, but then when Peter ripped it off it decided that the other symbiotes had it right all along.
Looking at the concepts, I'm actually pretty happy with what we got.
>>82815508
Well I mean sure at first it's like that, but before bendis neutered it, he did develop a relationship with the symbiote.
>>82826427
He helped his country in other less selfish ways. Even crashed a planewith no survivors.

>>82826895
Will he ever get his life in order?
>>82824680
Yeah that's gonna stay canon for all of like a year.
Everyone hates the fuck out of spacetank. It's ugly and is a stupid concept.
>>82826895
I do.
Not by a whole lot, but Agent Venom is legit my favorite comic character, followed by Scarlet Spider (Kaine), Spider-man (Peter), Nova (Richard), and Deadpool.
I love Eddie, and I love classic Venom, but I liked Antivenom even more.
>>82827017
>Yep. But what I thought more about "every arc with a different host".
I was thinking more like looking at how things would've gone down differently if the Symbiote had somehow latched onto (idk) Mary Jane or whatever instead of Peter. Y'know, when he still thought it was a new suit.
>>82826895
I prefer just about anyone over Eddie Brock
His reasoning for hating Spider-man was retarded
It was a good thing they made the suit "evil" and it influenced your actions otherwise we had some 1960s camp plot of "I must kill Spider-man because I can't fact check a source nor can my entire paper who I work for"
>>82827098
I get it. But I'd also want to see different Venom hosts and how would they change under the suit's influence.
>>82827055
I've actually warmed up to the new suit. Obviously it's still basically the worst Venom suit (Though Fortuno's was pretty bad, and I still hate Gargan's eyes), but Ariel Olivetti actually does the new look justice.
And it's a pretty fun comic. Again, not nearly as good as any other Venom comic, but still better than most of what Marvel's putting out right now.
>>82827086
same Anti Venom as a concept was more fun and fit hobo Eddie very well.
hell that was the big thing was I wanted to see Eddie going soup kitchen to soup kitchen across the country and fight B lister villains that but those people in the area at risk.
Brock haters be gone. We owe him everything for making symbiotes what they are today. He did nothing wrong.
>>82827186
Of course, that'd be awesome, but I feel like you wouldn't be able to do it justice by having it switch between different people. All the baggage it got off them would keep piling up until the poor blob-creature goes completely gaga.
If you did like a series where each issue started at the same place, but then had the symbiote bond with a different person, that'd be good.

>>82827266
we owe Randy Schueller and Todd McFarlane for Venom's popularity no one cared about Eddie before he put the suit on.
If Spider-man 300 was just Eddie in a patch work spidy suit with super human strength and what not he would have been forgotten in a year if that.
Todd even admitted the reason he kept giving him bigger teeth, eyes and tongue was because it was being well received by kids. Eddie's personality was unneeded for the success
>go to check the draw thread to see if my Mania request had been drawn
>it's not, but a bunch of completely unrelated Mania requests were done

>>82827910
Japan loves them.
>>82827668
I was a bit of a fan of Flash before he became Venom desu(in the same way i enjoy Jonah Jameson), i liked that he was Spiderman's biggest fan, but Peter Parker's biggest detractor. He wasn't overly cruel to Pete in high school anyways he was just a huge jackass. Remender spent the opportunity of writing Flash as Venom to inform the character we had known from the original run, showing why he had acted the way he did, showing that Spiderman influenced him to fight for his country, and that he and Peter are now friends because Pete is an empathetic guy, and knows Flash was lashing out from a place of pain. Flash's Venom is just as much about Flash 'before he put on the mask' as his exploits as Venom.

>>82829390

>>82829008

I can't think of it in any other terms than it being like having your personality slowly overwritten by it.
>>82829971
>not loving your symbiote
>>82829843
I feel you man, a lot of us agree. I'm working, slowly, on a script for a comic which includes her. Allow me to shill my shoddy work for a moment.
Issue 1 http://pastebin.com/mvsgPMrf
Issue 2 http://pastebin.com/YFBy2hTb
>>82829971
Well, when we see it in comics it's almost always depicted as a second conciousness.
So, thinking of it like that it'd simply be a second brain. It's own personality being shaped by the people it bonds too.
So in day-to-day life it'd probably just be really helpful.
But since they can be parasitic you'd probably get tired easyer and have to eat more.
>>82830081
I have saved the picture.
I may as well read the script.
>>82830115
>a second conciousness.
>a second brain.

>>82829740
Seriously so much potential, and it got wasted in some points.
>this thread
How do we bring back Anti-Venom?
Also you get to retcon one thing about the symbiotes what is it? I would pick The Sentry's Void being their natural enemy except it works in reverse compared to what a usual symbiote does.
>>82830724
Reed injected Brock with self replicating nanobots that are designed to latch onto his blood cells and inhibit him from using the Anti Venom suit. This was done because Reed fears Anti-Venom, yes Brock could do good with it, but he could also cripple a few heroes

I read the first one.
The fact she's constantly saying We're and We is pretty fucking scary.
Has she already begun to lose her self to Mania?
>>82830621
>What would it feel like?
Well, since it's seprate and always active it'd be like having a hightened awareness and some extra information retention abilities.
The second brain anyway, the second conciousness would probably be more like a tugging sensation when it came to your reactions to some things.
A bullshit example is the best I got for that.
If you get punched in the face, and your normal responce is to walk or run away, then conciousness number two will either agree or tell you to stop being a pussy and fight back.
It might even take control and do it for you.
>>82830972
You see a bit of the symbiote taking full control in chapter 2, but 3, which I'm working on, is when things start to get bad for her.

He wants to get her to new York and have Reed remove the symbiote, but they get hampered by outside forces including Scorn

I really hope Peter reveals he's Spider-man to Flash. I want it so bad.
>>82838430
I hope it won't be as bad and unrealistic as this reveal was. Peter would never stand for Flash or anyone he knew being Venom, he punched Cap because of it, but I doubt he would because it sounds like the symbiote will be rampaging again.

Goddamn I loved BW: Spider-Island
>Iron-Goblin
>Vamp Carol
>Lizard Hulk and the Amazing Lizard Waifus
>Wolf - Cap
>Dat Flash and Peter team up
Glorious

Where is this from?
>>82838579
In the writer's defense, it was in a world where Flash was basically the leader of the resistance. Peter has infinitely bigger things to worry about.

It's easily my favourite thing to come out of secret wars. One of my favourite comics in a long time, not counting superior Carnage.
>>82838861
>Superior Carnage
You mean Carnage-Man, r-right anon?
>>82838931
Ya, sorry. Got mixed up.
>>82829900
Friends? No, not at first anyway, until I'm absolutely sure of their secrecy.
Family is easier. Just my mother, and that's an obvious yes. She can keep a secret and I've already asked the "what would you do if I was a superhero" question. She'd be proud of me.

Nah, that's not how a symbiote works I think. You don't lose yourself so much as gain a new perspective. Like any other relationship, a good one anyway. A crazy symbiote is more like a parasite, a possessive, emotionally abusive girlfriend, you still don't lose yourself, but it's still much harder to be yourself under her whims.
Besides that, the 'two brain' idea isn't a bad analogy I think.

>Besides that, the 'two brain' idea isn't a bad analogy I think.
Okay, I think. I'm trying to imagine it as having like a whole new load of muscle memories to convey the "having something else to help you think", am I anywhere near the mark?
>>82840839
Something like that, when you're bonded, but also include the 'feelings'. Sort of like your conscious, getting ideas and suggestions, since the symbiote doesn't need to speak to its partner. It's very alien to imagine, ha-ha.
Which is why Peter always had a tough time accepting it, since he needed to be in control of himself at all times (so he thought, such and such).
>>82841059
Right. That's... not easy to get my head around.
I really want to try and include this in my story now, but I don't know if I can do it justice with such a loose grasp of the idea.
>tfw no scanned doujins of Venom ravaging Peter's boipussy

>>82841600
Another thing to remember is the symbiote can imitate spider-sense so not only do you have another brain but also a new sense as well.
>>82841600
If you want to incorporate that into your story, especially if it's a character that's new to bonding, that would be a good place to start. The alien sensations and quite literally another mind coating your own.
The best way I think of it as, it's similar to being an author and letting the 'character' tell you what they would do, while keeping the idea of where you want the plot to go. If that makes sense, with you being the symbiote.
If I'm just being confusing, I apologize!
>>82841600
Try to think of it as always having your buddy with you, he just talks less.
Work is kicking my ass tonight, no time to work on my damn script! Hella busy and lousy tippers

Nnnnno, not getting it, sorry.
>>82842408
Try thinking of it as having your friend with you but instead of speaking to you outloud he talks in your brain, and sometimes you do things instinctivly that you would only do with him there.
Symbiotes a fucking shit.
Especially Mania.

Oh I get it, it's like having someone sitting in the passenger seat of your brain, with you in the driver's seat.
They'll point stuff out and help you with stuff you can't see, and grab the wheel if it looks like you're about to crash.
Am I right?
>>82842628
Yes, perfect. You get it now
>>82842567
Get out of here Parker, no one likes you!
>>82842567
Go away, Peter. Don't come back until you got a symbiote.
