Europeans have a very different understanding/approach to sexuality and the depiction of the former in comics. Japan is totally fucked up just look at all the shota, tentacles, nipple fucking etc etc. but at the same time they have these weird censorship laws in place. I don't think percevan was intended to be a children's comic.
Spirous is great for those "AM I really reading a magazine for kids?" moments, though. You got sex, violence, horror, the whole package. Can't blame them for making young people discover titles like Jeremiah, Bluberry or Soda, but still.
Alexia is a great example of that. It's an absolute blast, but definitely not for pre-teens.

That tv series looks hilariously awful.
The comics were a ton of fun though. Educational, sometimes eco-preaching, or anti-bullies, while at other times they were having huge adventures, fighting evil wizards and facing undersea horrors, doing time travel, getting bit by deadly spider venom and almost dying, and so on.
I thought about translating some of the Hungarian comics into English and posting them here, not sure how well received they would be, since it is pretty much meant for little kids... but damn some scenes in it were pretty memorable.
