Well unlike Captain Marvel and Whor, Gwenpool, Squirrel Girl, Hellcat and Angela are those ''lol so quirky'' comics that don't even have an impact on the rest of the Marvel universe.
And all 4 of them are written with the ''break the fourh wall'' schtick.
So yes, I don't think that they are doing the break the fourh wall thing with Gwenpool because they wanted to be faithful to the Deadpool storylines, they did it because that's how you get away with lazy wrting.

Okay, so in writing terms there's usually this thing called a ''character development'', right? It's this small element that has participated in every major school of writing since ever, and it's normally there to enrich the character, it can:
>Give depth to character
>Give the character issues to make them closer and more relatable to the audience, aka humanizing
>Use the standard space of a character to work deeper metaphores and ideas, even a message
>A bunch of more shit
In Gwenpool's case, in that specific scene, it's a small moment of reflection, as we're seeing what's an usual reckless person that lives with zero responsability starting to worry that maybe she's not doing things right, in fact, she downright states that it doesn't feel right, this has extra weight, because Gwen is literally someone from outside the comic book world, who has this idealized vision of what happens to comic book heroes, and that view is getting challenged, mostly because she's not acting generally heroic. And there's the humanizing bit I mentioned, with her worrying that her life might be in actual danger now because she could have pissed off someone stronger than here, which again, works extra because that stronger character is also more popular, and in Gwen's world-view, a lot more threatening.
It's a nice and simple way to have what's a really quirky and crazy character a bit more real and interesting, while still working on the metas that this specific work is going for.
Boiling it all down to a ''why are bad things happening to me? what should I do cliche'' essentially shows that you're incapable of accepting anything we give to you and that you don't want to discuss, you're just here to further your hate for this and you can't change your views.
In fact, instead of breaking it down and saying how it doesn't work, you just refute with the most basic empty barely thought out arguments, wanting us to do all the work for you.
