I mean, they could certainly build them rooms, same way they did in The Test.
But I don't think they can ADD gems to the Temple so easily. They never had to bother wtih that with Steven since he inherited Rose's Gem.
I doubt they could just throw Lapis and Peridot in and have the Temple Door change shape or something to accomedate them/let them in.
They wouldn't have the crazy control powers and the door wouldn't let them in (though it seems you can LEAVE the Temple without a door gem at least)

Me and it's was so heartwarming. Some anon explained it really well in a previous thread. But this was an huge moment for both Peridot and Steven (platonically). It shows how kind and caring Steven is, him letting Peridot experience love and worth for the first time and possibly the last time. He could have said "I love my family" but he wanted to give Peridot this last present it seems. And Peridot probably realised this too.

I think that kind of fits with Steven's entire character to this point. He's always known exactly what to say, well because he knows what to say subconsciously.
He has an instinct what will trigger the best in people, though he doesn't actually know it. I think that fits in with the whole motif of a leader he has going. The reason Steven's a leader is because he listens instead of commands.

Well to be honest, a 4 minutes fight in a 11 minute episode is A LOT of time for a single episode, Couldn't have been done better than that IMHO
As for the cluster, it was less of a fight and more of a surreal end-of-the-world-we-gonna-die moment for steven AND the viewer
