Zootopia was amazing because of just that. Zootopia. Judy and Nick's story is over, there is no need to revisit their characters. However, there is a wide spectrum of wacky characters and cultures within Zootopia to make a good story. I don't know if this has been discussed to death yet since I don't really hang around these boards, but who do you think would be the first to realize they were in love, Nick or Judy? why would that be surprising. The entire time they had a slight off kilter relationship of reluctant cooperation. By the end of the film they became partners via a very thorough and impactful experience. Even their play with words between each other at the end of the film shows committed friendship. In a second movie it would not be hard to move that from close friends to budding relationship. It would almost be awkward to enter in another character to break the two apart. Unless it was very well played off. Based on how Didney Worl has done their last few movies, a move like that is highly unlikely. If they did that I would be whipping up a large batch of popcorn and getting a bottle of Dr Pepper as I'd read all of the salt for the shipping between Nick and Hopps.
