Let's give this TMNT thread thing another shot, since the last one ended pretty quickly. Are you looking forward to the new movie and game? Is IDW the best turtle comic or does Mirage still rule supreme? Is the 1990 movie the best movie and will probably stay that way? Do you prefer red bandanas or colored ones?
>>82691877
I'm actually looking forward to the new movie. It seems like it will be fun and it will probably be better than the last one. I'm not sure how I feel about them cramming so much into it and having the turtles come out to the public but I still have some hope for it.
What do we want to see if there is a third one? Leatherhead? Fly Baxter/Mousers? Rat King?
>>82691989
Something a bit more Return To New York/City At War-ish
>>82691989
I want to see an homage to the cover of the first issue of the Mirage comic somewhere in the movie. I have a folder full of other people doing this and I feel like it's something they could do too.
I was thinking about drawing Ninja Turtles characters for this thread. Throw a character at me and I might end up drawing him/her/it. Pic related. It's Renet from the last time I did this.
>>82692377
Man-Ray!
>>82692441
Which version of him?
>>82692471
The Archie Comics version, I guess.
>>82691877
Yesterday your thread died quickly because tmnt is not popular enough on /co/ senpai.
>>82692548
There you go!
>>82692377
Bloodsucker
>>82692612
Hmm that's weird, because I have seen longer TMNT threads happen here. But that might have been when people were waiting for the new movie or something else.
>>82692377
A cute Karai. IDW version.
>>82692377
A modernized Don Turterelli
Somehow redeem that lame character
>>82692771
I wish tmnt become more popular for the comics than for the cartoons.
>>82692742
Haha, it came out not really looking like Bloodsucker. Sorry.
>>82693000
It's close enough haha
>>82692809
I tried.
>>82693216
Thanks.
>>82691877
How does Micheal Bay manage to make every single CG character in this movie look like some kind of nigger? Look at Rocksteady. Look at him.
>>82692858
I don't know how I did since I skipped the flower and hat for some reason and I did not incorporate any feathers in there.
>>82693435
Ah yes, Bowler Hat Billy.
I really like this cover that pays homage to the old Playmates ninja turtles action figure artwork.
>>82692441
>Man-Ray
Holy shit thanks for making me remember the first TMNT comic my dad bought me
Was he a regular character?
>>82694649
I believe he only was in a few Archie issues but that he also appeared in Mutanimals. But I'm not sure about this.
>>82691877
First film tried to be pretty edgy
This one looks more fun, like the classic tmnt
Which trailer is the one where Krang appears?
>>82694718
He is in this one for a short while.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Z1mfY5qOAQ
>>82694649
He was a character in Archie, a member of the Mutanimals. He was in the cartoon too and I remember that I had his toy. He appeared recently in IDW comics as a Mutanimals member as well but I don't really like his new look.
>>82694718
You can see him in recent tv spots:

>>82694797
This might have been the one you were thinking about.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5VpUTb3Ex_8
I really want these or at least one of them. But they are pretty damn expensive.
Post your favorite TMNT artist. Here are a few of mine.
Eastman/Laird
Ben Bates
Mateus Santolouco
Sophie Campbell
>>82696123
AC Farley is underrated.
>>82696303
Yeah, he is good too.
>>82696445
I like Lesean Thomas and I wished Dreamwave made more comics.
>>82696710
His early sketches were great.

Never seen that before.
More LeSean.
>>82697094
>>82697116
>>82697135
I like the Mirage team (Laird, Eastman, Lawson, Dooney, Talbot, Berger, Brown, Lavigne...)
>>82694647
Better version.
>>82697443
Lawson is pretty great.
>>82697501
Dooney is great.
>>82697581
Possibly his best piece? Besides the wrist wrap miscoloring that is.
>>82697924
I also like these.
>>82697944
>>82697924
I actually prefer the original, if I'm being honest. Still a really great piece though.
>>82697924
Yep
Have some Ben Bates.
>>82698058
I gotta admit I might actually enjoy this movie. I hate Michael bay, but damn it, he is giving us krang and bebop and rocksteady
>>82698093
>>82698131
>>82698147
Are the new promos basically telling us that the animals Bebop and Rocksteady turned into was in them all along and not the whole the latest animal you were in contact with thing?
"Inside every human, there is a dormant animal gene"
http://www.comicbookresources.com/article/teenage-mutant-ninja-turtles-out-of-the-shadows-drops-four-new-promos
How did we go from this....
>>82699676
...To this. Tall square turtle heads. What happened Dan? What happened?
>>82691989
I want to see Triceratons!
>>82700055
That would be pretty sweet. But would we want two alien invasion stories? But I guess it doesn't have to be an invasion story.
>>82699676
>>82699720
Duncan's not my favorite artist on the run but he's still better than Kuhn.
>>82700103
He was pretty good in the beginning but he got worse over time. I'm not saying he is horrible, but there was a decline in the quality instead of an increase.
>>82700472
The we have Ben Bates. Who started out good.
>>82700597
Then became great. And that should also have said Then*
>>82700671
Santolouco and Smith are my favorite. Campbell is good but her art is too "cute" for me.
>>82700776
I don't mind her cuter turtles myself. Santolouco is pretty damn awesome. One of the best to work on the comic.
>>82694647
The belt buckles are a nice touch. How is this comic? Is it more lighthearted than the current IDW run?
>>82693291
you know he's a mediocure action film director not a 3d modeler?
from what I hear he never even checks on the assets he orders from cgi outfits, he just tells em what he wants and walks away.
I mean it's more likely you just have such a boner for black guys you see them everywhere. so stop blaming his ass and just go suck some nig nog's cock.
>>82700892
It isn't out yet. It comes out next month. But it does take place in the IDW universe. It's Bebop and Rocksteady going around in time and being themselves. It seems very fun.
>>82700892
It's a 5 parts mini for the month of June. An issue each week.
>>82700947
But he does okey the designs. We heard about that in an interview he did when he had to give feedback on a Krang model or something.
>>82701040
Wait, it's once a week? Sweet. I thought it was going to be a once a month kind of deal.
>>82701259
It's an event for the month of June. IDW want to bring the spotlight on the comic and these characters because of the release of the new movie the same month.
Anyone knows where to find s04e10 in hd? Look like the only episode that's being ignored for some reason :^(
>>82701353
it's not an event it's a mini-series
the other turtles books aren't affected by it
>>82701353
I'm pretty sure that I will be getting the comic, but since I live in Sweden and don't have a comic book shop in my town, I'll probably end up waiting for the tpb. I usually only buy specific issues when I really like it.
>>82701353
So we will be getting Wingnut and Screwloose in this?
>>82701604
Probably.
>>82694647
I'm always torn on R&B's design. I like the fuck huge Rocksteady from their orgin issue but find bebop too skinny, and like Bebop in the later issues but think rocksteady looks too much like an egg sometimes.
>>82702307
Like an egg? Are you talking about his body or the color? Because he does seem pretty pale and should probably look a little more gray if you ask me.
Also. I'm still open to do more TMNT sketches if anyone wants to throw a character my way. Here's another from the last time I did this.
>>82702635
Angel. Version you want.
>>82702946
Here you go! She ended up looking kinda manish.
>>82702635
How 'bout April, here? >>82701911
>>82704781
I ended up making her cuter than she is supposed to be.
>>82695535
Which one would you want? What's your turtle?
>>82705383
My favorite turtle is Raphael but I would want any of them. But I'd say it's between Raph and Leo if it came down to choosing between two. Probaby Raph in the end. But I like the colors more on the Leo and Mikey statue.
Richard Corben sketch.
>>82707472
And the finished cover.
>>82707472
>>82707522
Do you have the Glenn Fabry covers?

>>82691877
will tales of tmnt ever get fully released
>>82705291
How about your take on Cherubae from the old Archie comics? Or maybe Renet?
>>82709430
What do you mean?
>>82709730
the series tales of tmnt never got fully rereleased due to guest issues
>>82709996
Hm? I think you mean Volume 1. They're already re-releasing Tales.
>>82691877
Can someone please edit this image to say "Meme on the scene"
I would be eternally grateful
>>82710476
yeah the first series of tales, it stops after issue 20 skipping the rest and doing all of volume 2
>>82709510
I went with Cherubae. I've already posted a Renet in this thread. Granted it was the IDW version.
>>82710553
I think you're getting a little confused.
Tales is getting its own reprints. Volume 2 is being reprinted in the Color Classics line.
>>82710553
Tales vol 1 is 7 issues and it was reprinted by IDW. Tales vol 2 is 70 issues and is currently reprinted.
>>82710734
they stopped half a year ago, when are they releasing the next one
>>82691877
The Turtles only work in two ways: Either extremely street based, or flat out cartoon-level insane. The first one was too much in the middle so it failed. This one definitely has the right idea, so I'm in.
The 1990 movie nailed the street level aspect, and now we finally might get one that nails the insanity aspect.
>>82711273
You're hard to follow homie. IDW is reprinting Tales of tmnt in their own trades. 8 volumes yet. Look at Comixology.
>>82711479
oh shit I did not see they released vol 8, but they skipped issue 21 fuck
>>82711817
Really? CMX says vol 7 is 17-20 and vol 8 is 21-24.
>>82711817
They did?
Oh, its the C.O.W.Boys of Moo Mesa crossover. Makes sense.
>>82711959
It seems not. According to CMX:
>Volume 8 collects issues #21–24 of Tales of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Volume Two, including "A (Bull) Wrinkle in Time," "Change of Power," "Attack of the Replicants," and "Rock of Ages." Presented in all-new color.
>>82712141
Alright then.
Hm. Wonder who owns that franchise now...
>>82712277
C.O.W.Boys of Moo Mesa? Still Ryan Brown I guess but this franchise seems dead now.
so why did they only rerelease certain eastman and laird issues in black and white
>>82711428
This.
The IDW comic is still absolutely fantastic.
The Mutants in Manhattan video game looks awesome.
The Nick cartoon is not the worst thing in the world.
The movie might actually be good?
Not much to bitch about really. It'd be nice to get some quality action figures without paying out the ass for imports, but that's about it.
>>82710579
This is lovely.
How about you try and do something weird and obscure from some canon? Golani maybe?
