I never really got this. Arguably it's more excusable with cartoons, because tiny details in lip movement don't end up pushing the entire thing into the uncanny valley, but still. Back when I was growing up, even cartoons weren't dubbed. They are today, and I swear we have the worst fucking voice actors in the world.
