I think every creator knew books would end around now. Even as far as as DCYou you had writers talking about how their plots would only last "around a year" and there was that 12 issue "guarantee." Why are the ages of characters so different in the current continuity? Arsenal, Cyborg, Starfire and Dick Grayson are around the same age as Wonder Woman, but Wally as Kid Flash looks about 16 and Beast Boy and Raven are teenagers too.

Became a SJW tumblr story, if there was a story. Couldn't make it to issue 13 (Because sales sucked so bad because the story wasn't that good) did more damage to the Starfire character and really became the gold fish ding bat. Too much like the Teen Titans Go cartoon (her Teen Titans orginal cartoon had more brains then solo Starfire title )
