Totally called her being a kid from Hank's 1st marriage

I'm happy, hope this is a turn to more continuity stuff. It could be a good mix with the kids who are consistently the best part of the book
>>
>>82665145
Honestly, I'm surprised he hasn't.
The "old British butler" thing is kinda worn out.
Figured he would have had an "accident" and be uploaded.

The MCU didn't invent the Red Room.
It makes perfect sense, Pym's wife was kidnaped by the Russians

>>
>>82665186
For some reason shit like this break down my suspension of disbelief in regards to the sliding timescale, Hank's wife was already dead when he first showed up back in 1962, her kid would need to be at least in her 50's.
>>
And that's a wrap. Next issue: Space!
Hope you all enjoyed the storytime

so how long til she says she knows the black widow or was trained to kill like the winter solider or for that matter the russians come back looking for thier "weapon" or do some brainwash stuff to turn her....
>>
>>82665528
So stuff like reeds kid being stuck at the same age for 60 years doesn't bother you?
>>
>>82665555
That's why I said it's weird, I'm used to comic book characters not aging before my very eyes, but when someone shows up for the first time and her age doesn't coincide with what it should be, I have a hard time with it. I just really hate the sliding timescale
>>
I really love Waid is putting a Wasp at around the same age Jan was on the team but who's going to actually act like a kid. She's got Pym smarts too. For balance

>>82665528

I'm no prizing she was froze like Bucky as a baby? and only recently got out. But then again it might be a plot point eventually? Red Room would mean like Bucky and Black Widow age

>>82665555

it doesn't take anything away for me I just think it's fun talk about. remember when ben and reed served in a war.

i don't budge at Punisher and vietnam though
>>
>>82665472

She's still alive, Waid says she'll officially pass the torch to Nadia
>>
>>82665680
I think he's coming back to Earth soon
>>
>>82665186
A lot of people did.
>>
>>82665517
Oh cute, it's directly tying into Nova's book now.

I'm okay with this.
>>
>>82664947
So even though this is MCU-synergy, I don't mind.
Nadia is almost nothing like Hope, and her origin is based on established Marvel continuity.

From Hank's "Relatives" section on the Marvel Wikia:

Angela Pym (paternal grandmother, deceased);
Brad Pym (father);
Doris Pym (mother);
Maria Trovaya (1st wife, deceased);
Janet van Dyne (ex-wife);
Vernon van Dyne (father in-law, deceased);
Ultron (creation, "son");
Ultron-1 (creation, "son," deceased);
Dimitrios (creation, "son");
Alkhema ("granddaughter");
Jocasta ("granddaughter");
Victor Mancha ("grandson");
Vision ("grandson");
Vision (Jonas) (personality engrams of Vision);
Thomas Maximoff ("great grandson", deceased);
William Maximoff ("great grandson", deceased);
Thomas Shepherd (Speed) (reincarnation of "great grandson");
William Kaplan (Wiccan) (reincarnation of "great grandson");
Wanda Maximoff (granddaughter in-law);
Machine Man (grandson in-law);
all regarded by Ultron as part of his "extended family" due to their familial connections with the Vision
William Nelson (genetic son);

Busy family.

8+, at being generous. Secret Wars sent back time to moment before Hickman's New Avengers #1. 8 months timeskip from Time Runs Out and 8 moths timeskip betweenSecret Wars and ANAD is the same 8 moths after the reset.

Child characters have been fucking retarded ever since they introduced Hulkling (in the sense that, since there's no mention of accelerated aging in him, we now can confirm that the Avengers have been around for as long as he's been alive).

How long until someone at Marvel makes him also responsible for Tony's parents in the comics too? Not for Maria and Tony but for his new biological parents whoever they may be.

Also I find it kind of interesting how Wolverine forgave him for Itsu but I guess knowing Bucky beforehand and having been brainwashed to kill himself kind of made Logan more sympathetic.

Kind of wish they had never dropped Daken's anger towards Bucky tho, I thought about him finding out about Bucky being WS was going to lead to something, because he got severely triggered by it.

To be fair, Daken might be quick to anger, but he's also intelligent, so he's more likely to blame the one who ordered the kill, rather than who carried it out.

the main one, the ultimate one, one brought back from an AIM pocket dimension by Ragnarok (the Thor clone), one I keep forgetting where it came from, and the one brought from Secret Wars by Dazzler-Thor (though it's called Lightbringer rather than Mjolnir)

and there's one in New York somewhere that's stuck in a time loop where Jane Thorster drops it, gets send to the future, picks it up and uses it to travel to the past, uses both of them against a Kang, then leaves one behind so that it's there for her to pick up when she gets sent to the future.

But here's the issue with both of those, and its the same reason that Magneto's de-agings doesn't actually fix the problem with his sliding timescale.

Both of those events happened WITHIN the sliding timescale, meaning that it doesn't actually de-age him enough for those events to still make sense since it would mean that Punisher's first appearance had him be a middle-aged man.

The teens are the only good thing about the book. If this was purely focused on just Kamala, Miles, Sam and now Nadia, with maybe a rotating cast of adult heroes coming in to train them then it'd be a lot better.

Thor, Falcon, Iron Man and Vision really aren't doing anything for me in the book. They're just kind of wasting space that I'd rather be spent on the teens.

She's Mary-Sueing pretty hard sir. These levels are off the charts. I've never seen anything like this before.

It's because of Marvel's "master" plan of increasing sales via making readers mad. From time to time he still shows that he is perfectly capable of writing a good comic. That's what is so bad about Slott. It's not that he's a bad writer. It's that he CHOOSES to be an awful writer and that's what Marvel wants.
>>
>>82682612
Nah, that's more Bendis problem, wherein he's a good writer that's just become so insanely lazy that he's stopped bothering putting any effort into his comics and just shits out scripts in 5 minutes then hands them in and Marvel just kisses his ass up and down for it.

Slott's problem is that he ran out of Spider-man stories to tell years ago but WON'T FUCKING LEAVE. Slott's non-Spider-man stories are still perfectly fine. His Silver Surfer may not be the best thing around but it's competently written, if a bit too "doctor who-y."
>>
>>82665145
Well there was a Jarvis AI once in the Rescue armor but it went crazy and was destroyed. Now it's Friday
>>
>>82682699
I don't think he's run out of good ideas.
He made a good story/issue out of nowhere during spider-verse. He's clearly capable of still making good issues and chooses to not do so or is too lazy to bother.
I have to disagree on Silver Surfer even if alot of it is due to how Norrin clearly is a new character pretending to be the Silver Surfer.
I notice a similarity between Slott's Silver Surfer, Bendis's anything, and Arron's Strange is that they only make sense in an absolute vacuum as the more you understand any character/setting/etc involved the more you realize everyone is acting retarded.

If she is a Russian and a Wasp-type, why isn't her codename Red Wasp?
>>
>>82683711

She's not Russian, she was just raised by them. And she wants to be Hank Pym's daughter The Wasp.

Also because she's Hope.
>>
>>82681542

William Foster, Rita DeMara think the same.

Goddamn, fucking everyone with Pym Particle powers stole them.
>>
>>82665120
How old is Hank Pym supposed to be? I thought he was supposed to be in his ambiguous mid 30s like most adult superheroes. It seems iffy if he had a teenage daughter with his first wife assuming this isn't a robot. Not impossible but it does make me question things.
>>
>>82685649
He's older than most of the heroes.
>>
>>82677024
No, the FCBD made it look like she was attacking the Avengers and trying to destroy the Vision, here we get context that reveals that's not the case.

The Loki in Mighty Thor isn't the same one as the one from Agent of Asgard. They're drastically different characters so I wouldn't be shocked if the Loki we're seeing there was recreated when the 616 was.

>>82667967
Is there really any point to remembering SW? Nearly everyone wasn't actually there and everything including the incursions still happened just without everything dying.
>>
>>82685649
He should be around 10 years older than most.
Viceversa, Jan should have met Hank when she was barely legal.
>>
>>82687091

Jan did meet Hank when she was barely legal. She was eighteen/nineteen at best and like Reed and Tony, Hank was in his late twenties/early thirties. We also don't know how old Nadia is supposed to be or how much time past since Maria Pym went missing. So if ten or so years have past and it's been heavily implied that Tony was captured in Afghanistan like in the movies due to the sliding time scale. The math sort of works.
>>
>>82687136
If she's like ten or so then there's barely an issue. I thought she'd be like about 16 or so like Kamala and Miles, that's around the point it gets iffy unless Pym is notably older then everyone else.
>>
>>82687136
Last hard-time age we had was Peter being 32, so around 16 years passed in-universe since the start of the F4.

Have Maria "dying" 3-to-5 years before Jan and Hank meet and she'd be 19-to-25. Which looks her age.

The only problem would be the Red Room, but just have it continuing its work even after the fall of the USSR, if in a very limited capacity(explaining why Nadia wasn't brainwashed)

>>82687182
Hank, Reed and Strange are supposed to be older than most heroes, by ten years or so.

That is indeed the case. Always has been.
>>
>>82687231

They established a while back that the Red Room is a Russian thing, not a USSR thing. Hell, Black Widow is doing something with it in her most recent ongoing. The only real sketchy part of Nadia's origin is that apparently Bucky was involved with her growing up. Which is odd since they froze him pretty frequently between missions. She also mentions that they shifted her training from being a spy to being a scientist when she showed that she was as smart as Hank and Maria.
