The chinese camrip is actually surprisingly awesome quality. Like, better than most DVDscrs I've seen.

If you didn't tell me it was a cam I wouldn't even know. No distortion (from recording at an angle from some random seat), excellent clarity, pretty decent sound

The scene where Nick tells Judy no one cares about her dreams and ambitions and zootopia isn't a paradise pleased me immensely
Perhaps its just my inner cinic but I reckon its a good thing to teach kids
>>
>>82631323
Oh, definitely. Way too many kids in primary school (and even secondary tbqh) being told that they're infallible and how everybody cares so much about them.
>>
Plus they rewrote the story upside down.
Its a miracle it ALL worked
>>
>>82622005
I don't get it. They think it's bad so they make a meme?

Or the fans of Case Close spontaneously make posts saying it's good ?

Or it's Disney's Japanese shilling?
>>
>>82631335
My one worry going into the film was it was gonna be a painful left-loving movie, but it turns out just because something is lauded by progressives, and just because said progressives may be obnoxious individuals, does not mean the thing they're lauding is progressive (and bad)
Zootopia's ultimate conclusions are that, despite the truth often found in stereotypes, prejudice and segregation is the wrong way to go about helping anyone

And of course the fact that its basically a kids version of Hot-Fuzz gives it plus points too
What I'm basically saying is its an instant classic which will be shown to people's kids like Lion King is

Yeah, that's about what I got from it to. Bit weird, since one of the main writers was openly racist towards white people in one of the BtS videos and the concept of "white privilege" is clearly known to the writers. Just glad that it's actually a very balanced and fair narrative in the end.

>>
>>82631481
Where and when did you go to school?

What's funny (and more /co/ related) is that the closest thing I can think of to kids being told they're infallible is Wreck it Ralph, where the moral seems to be that being you is enough. No need to work or improve, you're stuck being you and that's okay. It's true to an extent; there's only so much you can do to improve yourself, and even then some people naturally have a harder time than others. Making peace with yourself and the things you can't change is healthy, but the story of a guy who doesn't want to be what he was born to be only to find out that he can't be anything other than that runs counter to the entire message of Zootopia.

I can't believe Zootopia's only $44 million away from $1 billion. It's getting so close!

I think that over the next three weeks it'll cross the $1 billion threshold - I think it has another $6 to $8 million to get in America and hopefully the remaining foreign markets (namely Japan) can help with the final push. It shot up $30 million between last week and this week so it's definitely doable.

Do it for Bryon!

While the movie does a good job at teaching that the real world is a harsh place, I'm still glad it goes into how important it is to no let anything get between you and your goals, even when your own parents don't support you.
>>
>>82631555
You can't see both privileges at the same time and maybe the factors that go into people "balancing the scales"? I mean I don't cry "handicap privilege" when I have to stand while someone in a wheelchair gets to sit.

Which words am I supposed to change?
>>
>>82631589
Indeed, which is why that coupled with the well known chemistry between Nick and Judy aswell as other Disney jokes and references it makes the film an instant classic

When I went to the cinema adults laughed more than kids cos there were more proper jokes and not farting (perhaps excluding skunk butt rug) it really is a film anyone can enjoy rather than a kids film parents can tolerate

Engineering for multiple possible species' use would be gauged at the back end for the largest possible, uh, product. So, elephant effluent. You just make a variety of different sized toilet seats (imagine nesting measuring cups: the smallest sized for mice, largest for elephants). That's why Judy fell in during training, someone left the seat up!
>>

To me the lesson is you should be careful with a press conference because what you say could hurt others.

It is a simple message but delivered thru a relatable story.

I mean what Judy said on the press conference is not out of simple vanity, arrogance, or ignorance. She went through her whole life with those ideas.

If it were up to me I would say the real life racism is something like that. Racism is not just vanity or ignorance. It can be learned through a life of hard and sincere work. And people upholding racism are decent and lovely people. But something bigger and more ubiquitous in the system is wrong so you can be Judy Hopps but you are still wrong

>Zootopia finally topped the Japanese box office in its third weekend, after spending two weeks at No. 2.
>
>The Byron Howard and Rich Moore-directed animal menagerie animation took in another ¥387 million ($3.6 million) on Saturday and Sunday to bring its cume to $27.8 million.
>
>After bowing with $4 million on April 23-24, Zootopia saw its take jump the following frame, boosted by the Golden Week holiday period, good word-of-mouth and a large number of people going to see the animated pic more than once. Zootopia's box office actually fell this week, but it finally dethroned local anime Detective Conan: The Darkest Nightmare, which fell to the second spot after three weekends at No. 1.

I mean, if Robin Hood and Lion King had the impact they did despite being subtle or unintentional... can you imagine how kids will feel growing up watching Judy (or Nick if he turns them into faggots like he did with many anons here).

I don't see how Zootopia is fundamentally different from Robin Hood as far as making kids furries goes. Nothing in Zootopia was explicitly sexual (except maybe for Judy's sweet ass). My furry awakening was more to do with realizing that I found Maid Marian attractive while I felt nothing about the human princesses.

Well what about the fact that 3D animation is a little more "realistic" and Zootopia is so detailed even by 3D animation standards.

Also doesn't hurt that both Nick and Judy are adorable as fuck and have better characterization than like 90% of characters in film, animated or live action.

Furry fetishes are ingrained through exposure during childhood, anon, like many fetishes. Seeing a fluffy adorable wide-hipped rabbit walking around in a movie while speaking and acting like a human is going to cause a lot of confusion. There really isn't anything quite like furry exposure.

This movie even caused a furry awakening in dozens of fully grown anons on this very board. It's just one step closer to Disney's furry agenda. Don't underestimate a human's latent desire to fuck hot animals.

It is possible, however unlikely, that Disney could go back and re-render the film at 4K for a home release. Pixar did it years later with Toy Story and other early low-res renders.

It's not an awakening, it's something that was always there.

The human mind is too weird to conclude that anything can GIVE you a fetish because growing up most people are exposed to the same content and yet few people are into gay furry super chub vore.
>>
>>82632962
Is it hard to re-render it into 4K? 4K tvs becoming more of a thing. So having the ability to play at 4K will be good for everyone.
>>
>>82633024
It's at least four times as time-consuming.
>>
>>82633024
It takes a very, VERY long time to render 3D graphics in any capacity. That's why Disney and other VFX companies have absolutely massive render farms at their disposal running 24/7. It takes hours, if not days, to render one frame of relatively detailed 3D animation. I'm sure Zootopia was a nightmare to render due to the lovely detailed fur. Rendering it in 4K would take almost exactly twice as long as it took to render it in 2K, which probably took several months to finish.
>>
>>82633016
>It's not an awakening, it's something that was always there.

Exactly, that's what I meant by "awakening." The furry part of people's brains is there, but it needs a little push to come to the conscious mind.
>>
>>82633049
>>82633061

2K Scope is 2048×858, or 1,757,184 pixels. 4K Scope is 4096×1716, which means 7,028,736 pixels and four times the pixels to render than 2K.

Yeah I do the same thing. I totally geek out over the details. I have to see a movie like this a few times just to absorb it all. Then I usually concentrate on one characters' movements etc, or background scene during subsequent viewings. There are some interesting, if not weird, things going on.

Like in the scene where Judy disembarks the train and walks outside the station. In the background a deer is doing some kind of weird mime thing or dance. Dunno..
