We try to guess what country the funny foreigner is supposed to be from. There's an episode where the Eds go inside Rolf's house and the whole place is covered in plastic and there's a menorah. So I'm guessing he's a Jew from Germany?

What's the point of guessing something like that? It's like trying to guess which state the Simpsons live in. It's obviously vague as a joke.

There's no answer, it's been stated many times that Rolf is not from any real world country. However he was based on Danny Antonucci's Italian immigrant relatives. So you could say he's from Italy but that's still not technically correct.

I always thought he's from Bavaria, but I think he's supposed to be just a wacky foreigner without a specific nation.

Jews ain't typically shepherds and he's pretty proud of his shepherd lineage. His traditions are weird as fuck, and when they simulate his homeland, Edd has a headscarf and there's an onion dome building drawn into the Ed's fake background, so like some kind of Orthodox Christian or prominent Muslim country? The Balkans or like Azerbaijan maybe?

I always thought he was a mix between a italian or a greek
The creators said they never decided what country his was from
So he's basically an amalgam of what foreign meant to 90's America
